"This restaurant has a lot of potential with its great location, beautiful decor, excellent beer and wine selection, and good service. The only disappointment for us was the food. We were excited to try this place as we are big fans of German food and beer. We started our meal with the Bavarian sausage and pan-fried pierogies. The sausage was just okay and the cheese dip we ordered for $2 extra was not what we expected - cold and hard to dip into. The pierogies were good but lukewarm, and I prefer my hot food to be served hot. For my main course, I ordered the pork specialty with sauerkraut and a side (I chose potato pancakes) but unfortunately, the sauerkraut was rancid and inedible. I had a taste of the schnitzel which was good, but the potato pancakes seemed dense and gritty. I had to send my food back (which I rarely do) but the staff were apologetic and replaced it with chicken with spaetzle and red cabbage, which was delicious. The spaetzle was chewy, buttery, and flavorful, the chicken was perfectly roasted, and the red cabbage was tasty and homemade. We also ordered the duck with Jager sauce, but the spice was a bit too strong for our liking, although the potato salad was good. We also had the apple strudel for dessert, but it wasn't particularly memorable. Our experience with the food was hit or miss, so I give it 3 stars. If they improve their food quality, this place could easily be a 4-star restaurant."
