"After setting up camp in Alcona Park, we decided to grab a bite at Glennie Tavern. We called ahead to make sure they were kid-friendly since we had our two grandkids with us. Despite being hung up on before we could ask any questions, we decided to give it a try based on good reviews. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the atmosphere was just like any typical bar. We waited for about 30 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. The bartender seemed more interested in chatting with what seemed like regulars, while another staff member hurried around without making eye contact. Even though they were busy, a simple greeting or acknowledgment would have been appreciated. Frustrated, we left without even getting a chance to try the food, so I can't speak to its quality."
