"This charming little dairy spot located just off the highway is designed to resemble a barn. There are plenty of seating options, including picnic tables and a covered area beside a cow statue. The ice cream was fresh, and the menu offered a nice variety of burger and appetizer-style dishes as well. Kid-friendliness: It has a wonderful, family-friendly atmosphere. Service: Dine-in. "This is a cute sports bar with lots of sports memorabilia from local school teams. There is a separate bar and restaurant area. The newly updated outdoor seating is very fun, and recently there were popular bands on the outdoor stage. This restaurant is located on a golf course, and has daily specials. I like that they post their specials on Facebook so we can see them ahead of time! It is a cozy place to eat and hang out with friends. Food: 5"

"I ordered a small salad that came with hard-boiled eggs, slices of homemade Italian sausage, tomatoes, hot peppers, and a delicious homemade Italian dressing. Then, my child's pizza arrived, featuring a wonderful crust and amazing flavors. I opted for sausage, green peppers, and onions on mine. The service is consistently excellent, and the friendly local crowd adds to the enjoyment of the pizzas. A couple of times, the entire building shook as a train rumbled past, which was an extra treat for me since I love trains!"

"Today, I drove to the Wooden Shoe Bar & Grill located at 100 West Main Street in Lena, Wisconsin. The drive was pleasant, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the main menu and the July specials. I decided to try the red, white, and blueberry bacon burger. It was cooked medium rare, and with all the ingredients combined, it turned out to be delicious. I have to give credit to the person who created this burger—it's one of the best I've had in Wisconsin so far!"

"Underwhelmed is an understatement. The atmosphere is great; think 70s supper club vibe. If I was just stopping in for a cocktail I would have loved it but the food, services, and prices left a lot to be desired. Our onion ring appetizer was burnt to a crisp $15). The steak was fatty and under seasoned. The fish was bland and under seasoned. It took over an hour from order to service. The salad was iceberg lettuce with a few croutons and dressing. The only redeeming thing about the meal was the warm bread which was excellent. At $30+ a person, I expected a lot more."

"We are from out of town and had heard great reviews from some of the other people in the area, so we stopped in. They did not disappoint!!! The variety of food is impressive!! The gentleman who was our server was very friendly and shared things to do in the area. Unfortunately, my engine light came on as we were nearing the restaurant, so I called the auto shop in town and they said i could run over and they’d scan it, so I ducked out before the food came intending to return (leaving my family there). They said the gentleman was still super nice and when I didn’t return for a while (ordering parts), they packed my food to go. The even more impressive part we were unaware that they closed from 2 4 and we walked in at 1:58. They were so gracious about allowing us to stay we kept saying we could come back, but they encouraged us to stay. My family agreed the food was wonderful fresh and hot. Even though I had to eat mine after we got back to the campground, the food was still delicious. Can’t recommend this place highly enough I wish we lived closer; we’d be here all the time!"

"Ordered hamburger steak with onions, baked potato, side salad and Texas toast. Burger and fries and cheeseburger and onion rings for the kids. Hamburger steak was recommended by someone as being good and big and it is both. Flavor was good, ordered before closing. Food was packaged and waiting including my salad that had to be made so the buffet can be broken down and cleaned. I always order Togo and this was the best Togo by far."

"Great place to stop for lunch or ice cream. Lots of artisan things to buy in the shops, pricing isn’t bad for a small biz. Family of five on our way camping were able to get a sandwich, bottle drink, and chips or cookie for about $8-9 each. Kids loved being able to order their own sandwiches and each said they were “so delicious, we need to eat here again”. They also enjoyed being able to look at the farm animals while we ate. Will definitely stop again if we come this way again."

"This was our first time at The Brickhouse. It's not an overly fancy place, but the food was great, and the staff were friendly. My wife and I opted for the soup and sandwich options, and the soups were excellent! Since we were visiting from out of town, we both used the restrooms before leaving. Unfortunately, the men's restroom was missing toilet paper and paper towels, and the toilet seat was gone! I'm not sure what was going on there, but I've never experienced that in all my travels!"

"Sometimes the quality of the meats seems fresh and sometimes it tastes old and I end up throwing the whole sandwich out. Most importantly, what's the point of wearing gloves when some of the employees wear the same pair without changing them and use the same ones for making your sandwich, handling your money, and then making the next person's sandwich. This cycles over and over again. Pretty unhygienic. Will not return."

"If you're in Lena and craving a Subway, this is the place to visit—it's the only one in town! The food is good and the service is quick, making it easy to get in and out since it's conveniently located right off the main road. However, if you're looking for a more substantial meal while in Lena, Subway is a decent option, but there are plenty of other local restaurants worth your time for a sit-down meal!"
