"We had reservations and were seated promptly at this restaurant. We tried the salmon cakes and loaded tomato pie, both of which were very good. The hummingbird cake was more like a fruit bread and was delicious. The prices are on the higher side, typical of a resort town. We recommend making reservations several days in advance. Additionally, they had a singer performing during our visit."

"We took our first trip to Mentone, Al this weekend and met friends there for an Art Festival. The Art Festival was awesome, many talented vendors and the two music areas was highly entertaining. Our friends took us to Elevation Bistro for dinner. It is a small restaurant and reservations are a must, however, the bar area is a first come, first serve. We did not make it to the bar but there was an open table on the patio. It was chilly but we took it and oh goodness so glad we did. Kevin the owner/chef sat us and the rest of the staff was so efficient and helped each other. The cocktails were amazing and we all ended up having the brisket and mushroom soup and a salad, along with fried green tomatoes and ciabiatta bread. OH MY GOODNESS!!! It was so devine, I did not want it to end. If you are in Mentone for the fall leaves, definitely a place to eat."

"Drove past the area a couple of days ago on nepean Highway and really felt like some Asian food. Saw this restaurant on zomato and looks alright drove past the front and the ambiance gave me a little fine dining experience and the menu wasn’t pricey either so gave it a go. The Curry’s were fantastic and the salad dish was very flavoursom as well. If I am in the area again I know where to dine."

"What a wonderful find. While on our trip to Palm Springs, some friends suggested we stop by Mill Creek Cattle Company. I'm thrilled we did. They offer a fantastic selection of BBQ options, steaks, seafood, and chicken. The menu was so tempting, I wanted to try everything. Our group opted for a family-style meal featuring five different BBQ meats. It included soup and salad, two large sides, cornbread, chips, and salsa. It was an abundance of delicious food, all for just $46. We also enjoyed the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, which were very tasty. The restaurant has a charming western BBQ atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. The service was warm, attentive, and friendly. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go-to spot for both lunch and dinner."

"I have to say they are still classic! After all this year's I can still taste the original flavor. The Papa burger nice portion and super juicy hamburger. The Cod and shrimp basket super delicious as well. Definitely will be my regular spot to go back for more. Oh yes oh yes them chili fries!!! DELICIOUS!! 10/10 on everything o order. "The food was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised! My daughter ordered the smoked **** and it was literally melted-in-your-mouth good! I have the cats, unbelievable. They ran out of the inherited frits I really wanted to try, but I tried the sweet potato fries I usually don't like from other places, and they turned out to be amazing! They close on 3 Sundays, but it seems that all restaurants in the area do so it is not special for them. All in all, it's a great place to go. The food is something of the best I ever had; the server we had was very sweet, although he was incredibly busy; the atmosphere was great. You really can't go wrong here. I wish we had one near where I live, it would be my favorite restaurant. I would be sincerely willing to travel the two hours for dinner only! YUM!!! ... I really hope they had some of these beerbatter frits next time. Oh, make sure you ask for Cornbread!"

"I stopped by while passing through and decided to grab a beer and a quick bite. The bartender, Rudy, was fantastic. There’s some interesting Purdue and IU history at the bar, which made for a fun conversation. My wife ordered the chicken wrap and said it was good. The beer was ice cold, which I appreciated. I opted for the bone-in wings with a side of portobello mushrooms. Unfortunately, the wings were overcooked and not very impressive. The portobello mushrooms tasted like they came straight from the freezer, and the bland breading completely overshadowed any flavor they might have had. Despite this, we would definitely return! It’s a great local spot; I’d just choose a classic bar burger next time."

"Amazing food, amazing service. Me and my two sons visited mentone today for the first time. We stopped here to get dinner after leaving Desoto falls. I had some cash and my card. I felt terrible i didnt have enough cash so I was gonna get two sweet teas and head down the mountain. These ladies insisted that we get the food we were gonna order I gave her the cash I had and she said pay it forward . My boys are 7 and soon to be 12 yr old. They got the chicken casserole mash potatoes, okra and black eyed peas. They loved every bit of it. Home cooked, delicious and truly made with love. We also got to enjoy the company of Echo while we ate, her sweet dog. Thank you ladies so much and we will be back to visit and we will be posting pics of our tasty experience. "I can not begin to tell you how thankful I am to have found Tip Top Bake Shop. My husband has to have a key lime pie and lemon bars at least once a month. I recently contacted Cat asking for a special order for some friends that are vegans. She made the most incredible vegan pot pie. Two people consumed 3/4 of the pie in one night. They could not stop talking about that pot pie. Kudos Cat! Please support Tip Top Bake Shop they make the most incredible desserts, soups, salads, sandwiches, vegan and vegetarian meals.
