"My husband and I are staying at a Ladyslipper Inn in Osage, and this is the only restaurant in the city (there are others not far, but we wanted something close). The innkeeper told us that Osage Bait and Tackle had good burgers and chicken. Honestly, when we drove by this place on the way to the inn, I didn't realize it was a restaurant it looks like a small convenience store. When we entered, there was a kind of store/bar area, and then a restaurant seating area/room off to the side. It wasn't dark and dingy (like I was expecting), but bright with cabin style decor. There were a few locals playing cards, and others visiting. The food was good. I was expecting greasy diner food, but it wasn't, it wasn't greasy at all. My husband had fried pollack and fries, and I had the California burger and fries. We shared an order of cheddar cheese curds. Everything was good and satisfying. The service was also good. To stay I was pleasantly surprised by this place is an understatement."
