"I recently ordered lunch from this restaurant and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The food received a low rating of 1 out of 5 – it just didn't meet expectations. Likewise, the service was lacking, which also earns a rating of 1. The atmosphere, even for a takeout meal, was uninviting, landing at 1 as well. If you're considering a dish, I would suggest the Double Wide Burrito, but be prepared for an overall unsatisfactory experience."

"The service staff is constantly changing and the quality of food is inconsistent. Tables are often dirty and when you ask for them to be cleaned, you receive a rude response. The service is slow and the building's temperature is uncomfortable, being hot in the summer and cold in the winter. If you prefer a Jack and Coke, you're out of luck as only Pepsi products are available due to the owner's preference. On one occasion, the cherries in a Shirley Temple tasted like pickles. Meals are sometimes undercooked or incorrect, and there was even an incident where a cook threatened a waitress in front of everyone. It's a gamble whether you will enjoy a good meal and service or end up disappointed and feeling like you wasted your money."

"Great Home style food, Open Face Roast Beef sandwich, Mashed Potatoes, Salad. Lean Beef had good flavor, Will be coming back. Very nice atmosphere. Old Fashioned was good. Good prices and excellent food. Served Hot. Something the restaurants in Downtown Topeka could learn from, food should be served Hot. Great Job at Country Home Cafe at Lake Ridge Golf Course."
