"After ordering a beer and a glass of wine, we browsed the shortened menu and decided to go for some fried pickles (which were fantastic), and shared a plate of ribs that were tasty and fell right off the bone. It came with a chunk of excellent cornbread and a side of potato salad that was also quite enjoyable. Since they were out of collard greens, we opted for the red beans and rice, which turned out to be good as well.
Unfortunately, the Sweet Potato Pie wasn’t on the menu yet, but we had a great time chatting with Faron, who shared more details about the food, and with Walt from Mack's, who told us about the upcoming live music featuring Southern Rock and Blues on Saturday, June 9th. We definitely plan to return because Faron's greens and sweet potato pie are calling my name, and I can’t wait to see if they live up to their reputation!
