"I decided to give this restaurant a shot on Sunday, taking advantage of the nice warm weather after a cold spell. I ordered a brisket sandwich and a half chicken for $21. The menu mentioned two different sizes for the brisket sandwich, with the price listed as $8, but my receipt indicated that the large size was actually $10.
While the brisket was tender, it lacked any real smokiness. Some of the pieces were too big to bite through, which made the sandwich fall apart. It felt more like a pot roast sandwich rather than the smoked brisket I was hoping for, with none of the expected bark or smoky flavor. On a positive note, the barbecue sauce had a nice flavor.
However, the downside was that my half chicken was served cold—not even lukewarm. If I wanted to eat cold leftovers, I could have just stayed home. I’ll give them another chance, though, since I visited right before closing time, and it seemed a different employee prepared my order."
