"Mazatlan is the single greatest authentic Mexican restaurant experience in Eastern North Carolina. The food is phenomenal. Everything is cooked, seasoned, and prepared to perfection. It is simply delicious. I cannot get enough of it. Another major benefit to the cuisine is the abundance and quality of the chips and salsa. I have never had better salsa at any other restaurant. The food at this establishment puts all other Mexican food in Greenville to miserable soul-crushing shame. The staff at Mazatlan are charming, courteous, and lovely. The owner Rico, a horse-riding legend in Eastern North Carolina, frequently comes to check on all his guests. His infectious charisma and suave add an authentic flavor to the entire experience that cannot be beat. I could really write an entire book about how much I love Rico and his magnificent restaurant. If you claim to be a true Eastern North Carolinian and have not sampled from Rico’s wares, you are the most pitiful of liars. Support local business! Eat Mazatlan!!"

"I had the chicken fajitas, and they looked just as I had envisioned. They were absolutely delicious! The dish was vibrant and appealing, featuring a variety of colorful peppers served on a sizzling platter. It was complemented perfectly with rice, beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. I also asked for both corn and flour tortillas, which enhanced my experience even more. The service was outstanding and very welcoming. It was so tasty that I'm concerned I might never want to try anything else on the menu when I return, and I definitely plan to come back soon!"

"3 charges over $100 from this place. I called to advise of fraudulent charges and the manager told me he would loose money so he will not help me. They had no problem at all that somebody used my card 3x in one night to make fraudulent charges. I highly suspect they were involved in the fraud. Never have I seen a restaurant willing to ruin their reputation for $100. If you go use cash or expect multiple charges on your card."

"It's nice to have another Mexican restaurant on the west side of town. Chips and salsa are complimentary. We ordered the mole poblano and the mole ranchero. Both were good, but we couldn't see or taste any difference between them. Daily lunch specials are available. Decor is very colorful."

"This would be the second time I've been here and definitely the last. Chips were definitely old including the crumbs that we got. The Mexican pizza is a tortilla filled with hamburger that's it the food proportion versus the price are small and the quality of food is minimum. It's worth the drive to Dos Primos in Holt's summit. Jose Jalepeno's is absolutely the worst Mexican food I've had in 23 years of living in Missouri."
