"Our boss takes us to First Watch almost every month, and we usually arrive right when they open, so we get seated quickly and don’t have to wait long. I’ve always enjoyed what I’ve ordered, and the servers have consistently been very friendly.
I’ve tried the Morning Meditation drink—it’s a refreshing blend of orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar, and beet. The Smoked Salmon and Roasted Vegetable Frittata is packed with protein and features Wild Alaska Smoked Sockeye Salmon, house-roasted shallots and tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, chive cream drizzle, fresh herbs, ciabatta toast, and lemon-dressed organic mixed greens. If you’re not into the greens, they offer breakfast potatoes instead. The Million Dollar Bacon—four slices of their signature hardwood smoked bacon baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and maple syrup—is delicious, though it might live up to its name better if the slices were thicker. The Superseed Protein Pancakes, made with flax, hemp, kasha, pepitas, and sunflower seeds mixed into the multigrain batter and topped with bananas, blueberries, maple-almond butter, vanilla Greek yogurt, and superseed crunch, come with warm mixed berry compote. Mine didn’t have as many visible seeds on top as the photos show, but they were still tasty.
Today, my coworker ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, but the eggs were undercooked and slimy—the yolk literally slid off the plate onto the table. I told the server, and she brought out a replacement, but it was just as undercooked. Unfortunately, we’ll be skipping that dish in the future, which is disappointing because the crab cake itself was good."
