"I've ordered from this Andolini's location many times. When they get it right, the food is fantastic, but when they get it wrong it's usually a miserable failure. That's why there are so many mixed reviews here. Last night takes the cake for me. I spent $120 on apps, pizza, and pasta, ordered online via their website and fulfilled by Doordash. Food was at my door 1 hour 10 minutes later which I thought was pretty good for a Saturday night. The pizza was wonderful. The stromboli was a little soggy but still good. The caprese antipasto was a joke. The tomato slices were ENDS you know, the part that's hard to chew and belongs in the garbage and also extremely thinly sliced, barely the width of a fork tine. I don't know how they can possibly think that's acceptable. Also, if there was balsamic glaze on it I couldn't see or taste it. I love this appetizer and it never used to be like this, but it seems like sometime last year they started having problems making it correctly from using tomato ends to missing olives, thin slices of mozzarella, no balsamic, etc. Whenever there's been an issue and I complained, they made it right, but who wants to do that all the time? You know what I really want? For my food to be right the first time. EDIT: After communicating with Mike, the owner, I wanted to add this update to my review. Not only did he make things right with my recent order, he went above and beyond in addressing my concerns about past orders. He cares deeply about his restaurant and is committed to providing customers with a great dining experience, so while mistakes and miscommunications can happen (we're all human, after all) I'm confident I will always be taken care of at Andolini's."

"In hopes of resolving the situation, my fiancée went to the restaurant since we really wanted the missing items we had paid for. Coincidentally, the driver showed up while she was there, but there was no apology from either the driver or the restaurant. They also failed to explain why they hadn’t called us as promised. The restaurant did nothing to rectify the situation, which would have been thoughtful given the trouble we experienced. I’m hesitant to order from here again, as it seems they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes. Edit: I decided to give Anthony's another chance and ordered through GrubHub. Unfortunately, for the second time in a row, part of my order was missing—specifically, the entire pasta dish we ordered for our daughter. I called the restaurant and spoke with a very apologetic gentleman, who informed me they had the missing item but the driver left without it. They were unwilling to send a driver back to our location, even though we live just a few minutes away. If the drivers frequently leave without collecting the full order, it seems the restaurant should modify their procedures to prevent this—perhaps by checking orders carefully before handing them over to drivers. At the very least, they should do more to make things right with customers. I was promised compensation for the next order, but that doesn’t help with dinner for our children tonight, which was relying on that missing dish. I might try a restaurant next door next time, as their food is consistently good. It’s frustrating that Anthony's can’t seem to address issues with third-party delivery drivers, especially since most businesses don’t face these common problems."

"After reading all the reviews and the owner stating it is the most authentic New York Pizza in the region I didn't hesitate to give them a try. I ignored the photo of the less then appetizing pizza they have on Doordash. In some cases they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Tonight I should have let the picture lead me in another direction. Maybe it was an off night? Off of what I'm not sure. I'm an authentic NY raised Italian girl and when someone says authentic NY pizza I get so excited. I love anything that reminds me of home but pizza brings it home. There are quite a few pizza joints who dub themselves authentic and the few I've tried only one hit the jackpot. Oh Mama Mia. Finally. I'm a sauce snob and when I took that first bite the sauce had a very subtle sweetness, seasoned just enough and that was pretty much it. It was a simple sauce with a flavor that screamed authentic. I have to stop saying authentic. I'm just going to use it one more time. The pizza we ate tonight was nowhere near authentic. The sauce. I dipped my finger in 3 times to try and see what I could taste. Tomato sauce. If the sauce was seasoned I just couldn't find it. My husband did say he could taste garlic so there's that. Other than that the only other sauce issue was the lack of sauce they put on our pizza. The crust (edge) is what did it for me. It also told me they know how to make a good crust. Not tonight though. Off night? Oh right I have to mention the spinach pinwheel. Fresh spinach, mozzarella, garlic, and herbs rolled up in pizza dough and baked to perfection. Served with a side of Brother's signature marinara sauce. Sounds good huh? Baked to perfection? It was so over baked that all I could taste was the spinach. It was hard enough that if I threw it at my husband there'd have been a very slight chance of a very minor concussion. I do hope it was an off night as far as flavor goes. Length of cooking was off too. Vinni I do apologize but I would not claim your pizza as authentic. I truly did everything I learned to do and I just couldn't find it. I'm still hanging on to an off night. I don't like doing theses kinds of reviews but I do them because I'm a foodie, I'm honest and I'm not afraid of the backlash I always seem to get. Please remember that what I have written is my opinion and is not meant to change anyone's mind about visiting Vinni's."

"Ok. I am not a reviewer. Pretty much ever. I’m barely even a commenter on social media. HOWEVER. Exceptions must be made. Tonight I ordered pizza from Westshore, not because I had no dinner plan, but mostly because by the time I got finished fighting all the harpies at Homegoods and Target to finish my Mother’s Day shopping, I no longer cared. Hence, when it took me OVER 30 MINUTES to complete my on-line order due to bugs in their website, I was pretty annoyed, and recalled why I haven’t ordered from them in over a year bc their online ordering is literally a dumpster fire of issues, and I only order pizza anyway when I’m over it and refuse to cook. Nevertheless, I persevered, completed my order, and emerged victorious with a few dollars saved using online coupons and a screen shot of my order confirmation that stated a pick up time of 7:25:16 pm. Pretty specific. So my husband arrived at 7:26 pm, only to receive lukewarm (albeit tasty) pizza, and to be greeted by a sign that read: 14 inch pizzas, BOGO. Obviously, upon learning this I immediately wanted to know why the three pizzas I bought were not subject to this deal, since it is not listed on their website (in fact a bogo coupon that is listed doesn’t work), and I ordered 2 14 inch pizzas and 1 18 inch pizza. Reluctantly, I called the store to ask about the promo, expecting to learn my husband had been mistaken. Nope. 14 inch pizzas, BOGO. Umm. But…. I began to stutter out my explanation of why this was unfair, blah blah blah… bad website blah blah blah… took me 30 minutes to order online blah blah blah… cold pizza blah blah—and do you know what? The manager (owner) didn’t even listen to my whole story. He COMPLETELY COMPED MY ENTIRE ORDER before I could even fully explain. I didn’t even want the whole order comped— I just wanted him to honor the bogo promo not listed online. He told me it was already done and Happy Mother’s Day, so at that point all I could really do was thank him and swallow my indignation along with a slice of tasty veggie pizza. I think he said his name is Mike. I think he said that he just purchased this franchise and is still trying to turn things around. He asked me to follow his store on social media, and said he understood why I gave up on them over a year ago, even though I do like their pizza and salads. Wings are good too actually. I was a bit surprised by this entire exchange to be honest, given the fact that I spent some of my day reporting the $400 that was stolen from my checking account by identity thieves, and the rest of my day weaving my way through over privileged ladies in tropical prints who consider shopping to be a competitive blood sport. I’m not jaded. I’m just tired. So, thank you very much Mike for comping my family’s dinner when you didn’t have to, and thank you for surprising someone who is almost never surprised with your excellent customer service. I have lived in New Tampa for a long time, and it still amazes me that I can patronize the same mom and pop small businesses for years (food, coffee, nails, car wash, dry cleaners— whatever) and the owners/ managers rarely acknowledge that they A) recognize you, and B) appreciate your business. You managed to accomplish both of these feats in a less than 2 minute phone call. I look forward to ordering your pizza more often, and I am actually impressed. I think your chances of success are strong if this is the way you treat your customers. I will be back, and will be recommending Westshore Pizza New Tampa to my friends."
