"This place has probably the chillest vibe on a Saturday for any ayce sushi place in Vegas. Soundtrack of easy listening hits and comfortable booths. Menu is abundant with options including apps and rolls not offered elseware. Perhaps my favorite thing about this place though is that you can get a half roll of up to 2 specialty rolls per person, which allows you to try more variety. My favorite was the Leonardo Special 2, which has shrimp tempura with spicy crab and torched beef on the outside and was topped with a spicy garlic ponzu and crispy onion. It was a truly unique complex flavored and textured roll that I haven't seen elsewhere. One of the things I did not particular enjoy in comparison to other places is that they still garnish with sesame seeds but it doesn't say it on the menu. All the apps that we tried were delicious and I would totally order again because they offer smaller 2 or 3 piece portions as well as normal size ones, which I also haven't seen offered elsewhere. The service by the servers was a bit lacking not in friendly or enthusiasm but they seemed overworked perhaps due to limited staffing. It resulted in my plate of sushi being needed to made three times until it was correct due to the sesame garnish that I couldn't have due to my allergy that I mentioned on the first delivery. They were super apologetic but I just felt bad about wasting food as my friend had already eaten the first one delivered. There were also items ordered that we needed to check on as they were never delivered to the table. I'd come back for the specialty rolls and apps but be mindful to be a bit more aggressive upfront about allergy to avoid food waste."

"After reading all the reviews and the owner stating it is the most authentic New York Pizza in the region I didn't hesitate to give them a try. I ignored the photo of the less then appetizing pizza they have on Doordash. In some cases they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Tonight I should have let the picture lead me in another direction. Maybe it was an off night? Off of what I'm not sure. I'm an authentic NY raised Italian girl and when someone says authentic NY pizza I get so excited. I love anything that reminds me of home but pizza brings it home. There are quite a few pizza joints who dub themselves authentic and the few I've tried only one hit the jackpot. Oh Mama Mia. Finally. I'm a sauce snob and when I took that first bite the sauce had a very subtle sweetness, seasoned just enough and that was pretty much it. It was a simple sauce with a flavor that screamed authentic. I have to stop saying authentic. I'm just going to use it one more time. The pizza we ate tonight was nowhere near authentic. The sauce. I dipped my finger in 3 times to try and see what I could taste. Tomato sauce. If the sauce was seasoned I just couldn't find it. My husband did say he could taste garlic so there's that. Other than that the only other sauce issue was the lack of sauce they put on our pizza. The crust (edge) is what did it for me. It also told me they know how to make a good crust. Not tonight though. Off night? Oh right I have to mention the spinach pinwheel. Fresh spinach, mozzarella, garlic, and herbs rolled up in pizza dough and baked to perfection. Served with a side of Brother's signature marinara sauce. Sounds good huh? Baked to perfection? It was so over baked that all I could taste was the spinach. It was hard enough that if I threw it at my husband there'd have been a very slight chance of a very minor concussion. I do hope it was an off night as far as flavor goes. Length of cooking was off too. Vinni I do apologize but I would not claim your pizza as authentic. I truly did everything I learned to do and I just couldn't find it. I'm still hanging on to an off night. I don't like doing theses kinds of reviews but I do them because I'm a foodie, I'm honest and I'm not afraid of the backlash I always seem to get. Please remember that what I have written is my opinion and is not meant to change anyone's mind about visiting Vinni's."
