"Today, November 20, 2023, I visited the restaurant located at 70th and Adams. I ordered nachos and ended up waiting 20 minutes while three cars were in front of me. When I reached the window, the staff member asked if I had ordered nachos, to which I confirmed. However, when I got home, I discovered I had received a fried taco, beans and rice, and possibly a bean burrito instead. The person at the window seemed to have a lot on his plate, maybe he was overworked. I’ve had many positive experiences here in the past, but tonight was disappointing."

"Three years ago, my friend and I stopped here on the way to Hearst Castle. It was a cold fog day and I ordered the Carne e su Jugo, which is a soup with ground beef and bacon. That warmed my soul and I always remember because I couldn't find it anywhere else. This time we had to take the 101 for snow on the 5. We threw around here because I believed that soup. It was the same - just so good and just as satisfying. The interiors have remained unchanged and the staff is still very friendly. With almost every order they give you a small white plate to fill on chips. Chips and salsa are unlimited and self-service! There is no mild salsa if you are the type that cannot deal with spiciness, but the pico de gallo in my opinion is quite mild. street parking only that can be a problem for lunch or dinner hour. On a sunny day it is great to dine on their terrace. Definitely recommend coming here, even if you're over."

"I am so sad to give the bad review, because the food is delicious, however the service was horrible and had me beyond embarrassed walking out of there. I called in a order, which was ready for me when i arrived, great..awesome! Paid, grabbed my food then walked over to the drink station and filled my to go cup but was not given a lid, not was there any in sight. I figured i would ask for one after i got my chips and salsa since the owner/cashier was busy helping customers. Filled my chip bag then moved on over to the salsa bar and while i was filling my salsa cups another customer reached over my food and drink to grab something and knocked my cup over. Drink spilled mostly on the floor with a little on some chips and in one of the almost empty salsa containers.......... The customer who knocked the drink over mentioned to the owner that there was a spill and you would have thought we flooded the place by the reaction we got from the owner.......... She came over to the chip are and very dramatically motioned towards a faded cutting board that said no cups ....... She then proceeded to yell who owes me $90?!?! WHO?! , stomps back to the register to help someone else then tells them sorry you do t get chips because some one wasted them and now owes me $90!!!! ... Another worker came over to mop up and i had started wiping off the counters trying to make sure no more liquids went into the chips.... She came back over yelled once more who owes me $90?! Then grabs napkins and tells me I got this, you go do you or whatever! .................. needless to say, i felt so ashamed and didn 't even bother asking for a new cup just grabbed my food and ran out... I get its frustrating when there is a spill... as i worked food industry for many years but that reaction was beyond rude and dramatic!!!"
