"I moved into the opposite a year ago. I was used on sites like friendly, fireside, perrys last standing to breakfast. he has tried this place, angelo’s, and it is amazing. they can get 2 eggs, toast, speck, sausage, french and huge pancakes for 5 dollars. the ingredients are great. prices and menu is great. it is the advantage, not to a chain quality control and great service. it's just cash ATM above the road."

"Our waitress was great. She was funny, attentive and offered suggestions on what to order. I read a review where someone didn't like the fact that their biscuit was grilled. They give you the option of grilling it or not but I highly recommend having it grilled. It was delish! This place is a local spot and is quaint. Give it a try, it won't disappoint."

"I wouldn’t quite rate this place a 5 for the bacon, eggs, home fries, and coffee I had, but it’s close. However, I am giving it a 5 for the excellent customer service and the delightful atmosphere of the venue. It's somewhat tucked away by the river, which allows you to enjoy watching herons and egrets as you approach the entrance. Everyone here makes you feel welcome. This restaurant has been in business for 34 years, originally established by Pat Snead (don’t miss the car-themed decor!)."

"My order was completely messed up. I requested the 2-2-2-2 with French toast, scrambled eggs, non-crispy bacon, and sausage, but instead received pancakes and burnt bacon. After sending it back, I finally got the correct items, but I had to ask a second time for butter and syrup. The French toast was made from regular white bread instead of Texas toast. Overall, it was the worst breakfast I've ever had."

"I just made a special trip here on June 26, 2024 after reading all the great reviews here. It is now the Black Cat Diner, no indication it was recently Deb's Diner (except the Deb's Diner t-shirt the cook was wearing). I have no idea when it changed hands. I was the only customer in there at 6:30am. After being handed a crinkled dirty plain paper menu, I ordered plain scrambled eggs, figuring those couldn't be too bad. But after going to use the filthy dark scary basement restroom where I saw the food storage bins right nearby, I came back upstairs, cancelled my order and asked for the coffee to go. When the waitress said it was $3.45, I said I am not paying that much for a coffee and I walked out. What a horrid experience."

I visited on Sunday, just 10 minutes before closing time, and although the doors were open, the staff told me they were closed. Since it wasn’t quite midnight yet and the doors were still unlocked, I felt this was unfair. As a long-time customer, I don’t think I’ll be returning."

"This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in the area. My daughter and I discovered a dead fly in her potato salad, so I informed our waitress and requested baked beans instead. To my surprise, she told me it would be an extra charge. I was taken aback and asked to speak with the manager, only to find out that she was the person in charge. She was incredibly rude! We hadn't touched any of the food and considered leaving it all behind, but she threatened to call the police and even mentioned it to other customers, which made me feel humiliated. I just wanted to escape, so I ended up paying for the food and left everything there. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone as I was by her. We definitely won’t be returning."

"I was eating with my wife, my sister and my brother-in-law yesterday. Great building, the site is really remarkable. The food and service was excellent and by far the best food I had in every restaurant in New York or Vermont. The owner of the restaurant provided comfort and happiness to his customers about the food and service I have ever seen.
