"Yesterday, I ordered the Tampiqueña Combo, which features carne asada with bell peppers, onions, and hot red peppers. It also comes with a cheese enchilada, rice, and beans, but I opted for fries and a salad instead. The only inconsistency I’ve noticed is how they cook the meat; yesterday's meat was just okay. I'm not sure if it depends on the type of meat or the chef for that day. While it was delicious, I've had better meat dishes there before. My toddler, who is 15 months old, had the kid's quesadilla with rice and beans. She loved it and finished all the rice and beans! I really enjoy this place and will definitely keep coming back. Great atmosphere and excellent service!"

We were also bothered by flies buzzing around, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. The food didn't taste authentic; my meat was dry and bland, and the salsas were flavorless. The only highlight was the pico de gallo, which was actually quite good. Overall, I was disappointed."

"I always love taco shop and will always love it .I remember the first time I ate here with my dad and he ordered the nachos Supreme and they brought it out to us and as a kid ur jus like woaaaahhhh amazing so much food u kno I'll have to take a picture of the Chips next time it's delicious and for a good portion and the salsa is tasty"

The asada fries are the bomb and the California burrito, boy that is the best burrito I have ever eaten that’s not a breakfast burrito. "Initially, we planned to go to Jack's, but we stumbled upon this fantastic Mexican restaurant instead. I ordered the beef stew while my companion opted for a wet burrito. I have to say, the stew was perfectly cooked; the beef was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth with each bite. They served it with white rice, just like it should be. Although we were warned that the food might take a while, we were pleasantly surprised that it didn't take long at all—there was only one other family there. On a typical day, it might take about 30 minutes, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. The drinks were genuine and not made from powdered mixes. The prices were reasonable, and I would definitely recommend it. Just a heads-up: you might feel like taking a nice nap afterward—trust me, I had to fight the urge! The staff was fantastic as well. I will definitely be returning soon."

"Excellent chile verde breakfast burritos, spicy and extremely tender. The tortillas are fresh and have a nice texture. My only regret was not ordering the large size. Huevos rancheros plate was also delicious. Plates are served with both salsa roja and salsa verde. The place is very busy, but the service is fast and friendly. The cashier works really hard taking orders in person and on the phone, prepping to go orders, making the coffee and cleaning. Indoors is small, but had good ambiance with lots of windows. There’s also a nice patio with additional seating. Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes."

"What friendly people and amazing food. I’m a college student and have been coming here with my family since I was 8 or so after surf class and school (mostly at 17th street location). The staff know everything I like down to the specifics of if I’d like my burrito cut in half, and they always ask questions about my family, my dogs, and surfing. They always nail the food each time and I could not ask for a better restaurant for when I visit back home now that I’m an out of state student. best Mexican food in Orange County for sure!"

"My family and I love to stop after shopping at the Open Air Swap. You have servers to wait for you and the food is delish. Our Favs are the Fajitas Mixtas (they call it Fajitas Allende) the 7 pair soup and the chips are so crisp and their salsa they serve with them is fresh with exactly the right amount of heat."
