"we get from here a few times in the month, because it is the fastest, cheapest Chinese takeout in the opposite with very generous portions. eating is always tasteful and hot. is it gourmet? Of course not, it is $7 lo my! but doordash always catches it here under half an hour and 2 people can get 2 meals out of it for $30. that is really cheaper than mcdonald’s! not where I would take a customer or go out for a night. but ideal for fast, comfortable lunch on a busy day without much money falling. much better than almost food at a comparable price. I think that many of the 1 star ratings only inappropriate expectations for a meal that costs $7."

"Realistically I cannot think of one honest thing to criticize this fine establishment over. I've been eating here for years now, the food is wonderful, cooked fresh to order. Prices are more than affordable, with lunch getting you a soup, egg roll and entree for around ten dollars per person. The atmosphere is wonderful, staff incredibly friendly, and despite always being packed I've never had to wait to be seated. Hands down when Chinese is on the table the first thought is always Imperial Cathay. There are a lot of other good Chinese restaurants in Shreveport, but this place is the best. If that ever changes, I'll be sure to update this review, considering I so very rarely hand out five stars. A resistant has to truly be near-perfect to hold that ranking in my book. Don't ever change, Imperial Cathay! As far as recommendations go, the orange chicken and the combination low mein are my personal favorites. With the chicken chowder as the soup. Along with all the fried wontons you can eat."

"Sun Rice Chinese food is super excellent. I use them mostly for delivery. They always say 40 minutes but in 20 minutes someone is knocking at my door they are very quick with the deliveries. They have an excellent menu and their prices are very fair. My favorite dish which I cannot find anywhere is Chow Fun which is a dish I discovered in Chinatown in New York. Well Sun Rice is the only restaurant I know of that makes it and they make it fabulous. I also like the combination plates. Mostly the egg foo young and the general tsos chicken is what I order, if I'm not having my Beef Chow Fun. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want great Chinese Food. They do have a couple of chairs and tables in there too. Thank You, Rita Barasch"

"We moved from Woodbridge to Leesburg 15 years ago. We had ordered regularly from Sampan during our 12 years in Woodbridge. We have never found another Chinese restaurant that we like as much, so I've been making the 1 hour drive back several times a year to stock up on their HUGE and delicious egg rolls! My son and I drove back yesterday and ordered 25 egg rolls along with lots of other yummies for our family dinner. Everything was packed nicely in a very heavy box when we picked it up. The food did not disappoint! We each had an egg roll (which re-heats nicely in our air fryer and then I wrapped the rest of them in individual foil sheets and then packaged them in 3 gallon freezer bags (where they will reside in my freezer over the next 6 months). They pack the to go cartons so incredibly full that you can hardly open them (a good thing I just wished that they delivered to Leesburg!"

"I had an order delivered through Door Dash to where we work. Everyone likes things a little bit different. They hit the target with each order. The food was hot. The drinks were cold. And most important the Hot Mustard and the Sweet and Sour Sauce was not in little packets which tells me they don't take short cuts. The food was tasty and hit the spot. And they remembered napkins and forks and seeing how we are at work!! And there is no kitchen, saved us from looking like fools...so Thank you for thinking for us...it was a treat."

"I never leave dubious reviews but after suffering all evening, I want to make sure anyone else in my situation won’t have this experience. I am highly sensitive to MSG and in the past this restaurant has been very accommodating, allowing me to enjoy Chinese food again. All you have to do is request “no MSG, please.” It was clearly stated on my receipt but not honored when the order was filled.
