"When you arrive at the small strip mall just off the freeway, you might not expect to step into such a beautifully decorated restaurant. The dim lighting creates an intimate atmosphere, and there's even a cozy four-seat bar for those looking for a solo dining experience.
Now, back to the menu – the selection here is truly UNIQUE! I spotted entrees and soups I’ve never seen anywhere else, making it hard to resist trying everything. I’ve dined here twice, and everything I’ve tasted has been flavorful and well-prepared. The Crying Tiger is served with a fantastic spicy sauce that makes you want to mix it with everything else on your plate. This time, we ordered our meat medium-rare, but it came out more medium to medium-well; still, it was delicious.
Curry is always a safe bet, and the green curry here is exceptional. There's just something extraordinary about it, complemented perfectly by the Thai eggplant. I chose chicken for mine, but honestly, it’s not even necessary with the vibrant flavors coming from the vegetables. I’ve also tried the "Better Than Sex” jumbo scallops here before; a bit of a splurge, yes, but they melt in your mouth and pack quite a bit of heat. If you’re sensitive to spice, be sure to ask them to tone it down if you see the little pepper symbol next to a dish on the menu.
The mango sticky rice is as classic as it gets. Is it just me, or does the coconut cream seem freshly poured, almost still warm? It’s made with love and is definitely better than what I've had at other places. Plus, they offer Golden Road Mango Cart on tap among their impressive beer selection!
With a plethora of new Thai dishes to explore and a wonderful, attentive staff complementing the inviting atmosphere, this restaurant is a MUST-visit. People will soon recognize this gem, and we owe it to Manaao Thai for rekindling our excitement for Thai food—it was long overdue! I'm already craving their dishes again... it’s THAT GOOD!"
