"Shahi is the BEST place to go to for Indian Food. They definitely don 't disappoint. The very first time that I ever went there, honestly I didn 't like it at first because everything was so spicy! But now that I know u can tell them no spice, everything is so delicious that I can 't get enough of! I 've tried their Chicken Sagg, Mang9 Chicken, Butter Chicken, Coastal Shrimp Curry, Garlic Naan Bread, lemon rice, on top of other delicious food that they have. I definitely would recommend this place. I give this place 10/10. The staff are so friendly and are never rude. Me and my husband are regulars. We LOVE this place so much!!! U get alot of food for what u pay for. They never disappoint! And if ur into drinking their Taj Mahal beer is good too, and I 'm not even a beer drinker! Babush is the most friendly waiter that I have ever met in the whole and tire state of Michigan. Thank you Shahi, we will definitely be looking forward to visiting u again. I would of taken pictures of my food but couldn 't resist and ate it before I could take pictures. lol"

"This place truly lived up to expectations. Don’t be put off by the dated décor or signage; it’s definitely worth a visit. The staff were attentive and eager to help. The food ranks among the best in the Detroit area. My top picks were the famous aloo chop (a potato fritter), vegetable samosa, and chicken roll. All were freshly fried and delightfully crispy. The vegetable samosa, priced at just 99 cents each, featured a uniquely delicious potato filling. The naan was also hot out of the oven. Prices here are very reasonable. Just be prepared to wait a bit, as they seem to prepare everything fresh, which may take some time but usually results in better-tasting food."

"Yesterday, we purchased takeout from Taste of India Bellingham. We ordered chicken and fish starters as well as chicken curry and rice. Upon opening the food after an hour in Arlington, we found it to be inedible. The quality was so poor that none of us could eat it. We only managed to eat a bit of rice out of hunger and had to throw away the chicken and fish starters due to their terrible taste. We will not be recommending this restaurant to others or returning ourselves. It was a terrible experience."

"Called in and stuffed parantha, simosas, tandoori chicken, extra spicy ordered. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 30-35 minutes. Mother and I went to pick it up. Arrived. It's an Indian grocery store. Clean safe! The worker was extremely kind and the order was ready. Paid for the order and the worker wished me a good day! Appreciated! They also have delicious sweets to tease you with. I noticed before leaving. Lunchtime! Order split! The chicken tandoori 1/2 was tender and flavorful with a great, spicy kick! The samosa was FANTASTIC flavorful! Even better with the side sauces to dip it! The stuffed parantha 1/2 was tasty too! It came with white sauce that was used for dipping and that was really Great! Flavorful, tasty delicious lunch! Mother said hers was great too! She loved the spices and flavor! Great service and delicious food! Highly recommended!"

"Nice mom and pop place. My family was introduced to Nepalese food via a momo food truck (and we love saying Momo ! . So we decided to try something different from our usual fare (American/Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Vietnamese . The teenager running the register was friendly. He kindly pointed out that we should mix the rice flakes with the rest of the dishes on the plate! The flavors were interesting and enjoyable. Newari Khaja Set The chicken was served cool, had a strong mustard flavor, and will give you garlic breath for the rest of the night. It was fun for us first timers to mix and match what 's on the plate the aforementioned rice flakes, a soybean and chili salad, a potato and carrot salad, an egg, and bread. Buff Set I don 't know if the meat was actually buffalo or just beef, but it was well seasoned. We like it better than the chicken, only because it was milder, and better suited our palate. Fried veggie momo The filling has more complex flavor compared to other momos we 've had. Egg fried rice For someone reason my kids love Nepalese egg fried rice. I didn 't get to try it because it was all gone before I could take a photo. Garlic naan good, worth getting if you want some carbs."
