"Went here for my birthday with family. Half my group did not like their food, salads were soggy, my mock meats tasted stale. I came back and tried a vegan sandwich, it was not good. It’s been really hit or miss lately! I used to make my own pizza and it was always so good, and now the last few times I’ve ordered food there it has been bad. I’m so bummed I used to love Pizza Luce! I hope they make some changes and get some better plant based options soon."

"We ordered 2 dinners and a kids meal that were less than mediocre. The food in all honesty were small portions (one tiny spoonful for each of our sides) and reminded me of middle school cafeteria food. Mashed potatoes and gravy were inedible, theMac and cheese was mediocre, and the pasta salad was a spoonful of noodles with a squirt of cold creamy Italian dressing on topfor you to mix yourself. It is honestly offensive to serve the quality of food this is. We ate here after the the first day openafter hurricane Ian and it was packed as they were one of the few places open for food. So the food was the freshest it couldhave been and it was still awful. Our ribs were tiny and tasted microwaved also. I hate leaving bad reviews but I had to behonest. I really wanted to love this place."

"Wow, this place is incredible! I recently visited Oak Lawn Tavern for the first time and I have to say, the food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the rib dinner, which came with a potato, vegetables, coleslaw, and it was amazing. I also tried the sparrow, which was incredibly tasty with bacon and fried onions on gooey mac and cheese. The bartender was great and the service was excellent with a smile. The waitstaff is fantastic! This cozy little bar is family-owned and they also have a meat refinery and a gun refine. During Happy Hour, you can even use their bike for a free drink, half-price drink, or 50% off your tab. I highly recommend this place."

"We ordered the cauliflower as an appetizer, and it was excellent—hot and crunchy, and served with a honey mustard sauce. The tenderloin was also great, with crispy edges, and the Kaiser roll was fresh. The tomato in the sandwich was fantastic—very fresh! The Patty Melt was tasty but could use a bit more cheese. The tater tots were crispy and delicious. Our waitress was funny, prompt, honest, and just wonderful—she was also the cook! We had to try their famous homemade apple pie, and oh my gosh, it was incredible. Cliffs definitely embraces its dive bar vibe, but the service is outstanding and the food is excellent. This place is truly a gem in the heart of the country!"

"My husband and I dined her last year during lent for the all you can eat perch dinner. We enjoyed our meal. We invited friends to join us last Friday for dinner. Wow. The same server walked past our table times. I finally shouted out to get her attention and asked if she was our server. She told me she would check. She was. Took forever to get a round of cocktails. Finally took our orders. My husband and I ordered the perch with rice no fries. One friend ordered the fish platter with coleslaw no veggies. My husband got fries, no rice. Our friend got veggies no slaw. My dinner, she thought was wrong ,so our server sent it back to the kitchen. Come to find out my meal which included friesno rice was given to our party and her meal cod was sent back to the kitchen. The food was barely warm at best. The veggies tasted water soaked and on the cool side. The second serving of my perch was hot and tasted great. My husband even got a serving which he indicated was great. Not sure if they were short staffed in the kitchen or the serving staff but I would seriously have to consider going back. Disappointed comes to mind"

"This is my first time in the restaurant I had seen the place driving by and I hadn’t stopped until today. I was craving a Gyro and was hoping that I wasn’t disappointed….. I was not only not disappointed, but was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. Tahir the owner was working the line and ringing people up. I told him that it was my first time in he handed me a little beef snacker…a little deep fried pocket of beef mix, onion, pepper. I was eating my delicious gyro when he came by to ask how everything was… he told me that the snacker should be eaten warm no problem there. He also told me he was having a problem hiring people..? I hope this place is around as long as Tahir wants it to be. If you are in this area of Aurora I would highly recommend stopping by for one of the many items on the menu I got the original gyros which is beef and lamb. Stop by and say hello to Tahir."
