"I made a reservation for 4 adults 3 weeks in advance . To celebrate a birthday. Our reservation for for 6:00, so fairly early. We arrived on time . The restaurant only had a few other tables occupied. The hostess/ greeter was not very welcoming.... She took us directly to a table next to a family with small children to sit- right in front of the cooking area. Again the restaurant was pretty empty. I asked if we could move to a quieter location , she said all tables were reserved.... Ok..... I had a reservation as well , I seriously doubt every table was specifically chosen by each diner , plus I had made my reservation so far in advance I am surprised I was seated at one the least favorable tables in the place. Eventually we were then moved to “ I have one table not reserved” . The ambiance is not the same anymore , no more relaxed casual dining , at small intimate coffee tables with couches and chairs. It's regular seating with a hostess( owner? who starts your evening off with a very unfriendly attitude. Food was good , service was good. But I was put off by the start of evening . Understandable if the place had been packed upon arrival , but it was at least 80% empty. What should have been a really great evening was a bit disappointing due to the start. I'm not sure I would go back or not..... If I ever do, I will certainly specify exactly what table I want to be seated at from now on, that is for sure. ....."
