"While I appreciate their tenacity at trying to continue serving food (take out only no dining in at the moment during a pandemic I must say that our dinner last night left much to be desired. My husband ordered the Korean Kimchi Beef Stew. The meat was not fit to serve a diner in this, a 1st world country, and the rest of the overly salty broth was filled with unidentifiable items (I was able to identify the brain like kimchi, some cabbage and some sort of long tubular solid pasta thing that I still have not a clue what it was . My tofu Pad Thai was ok and I liked that it came with some steamed veg. The real kicker was the wait time. I ordered online at 7:16pm with a pickup time of 8:04pm. I decided to give them an additional 15 20 minutes as last night was Valentines Day and I had assumed that they would have received a larger than usual demand for take away orders for a normal monday. I might have wanted to give them an extra hour ... I waited in the restaurants' stairwell with other hoping to be diners (while checking periodically on my illegally parked car I had brought my 15 year old daughter to keep me company and she remained in the car probably why I didn't get a ticket or towed... until 9:05pm when I was handed my partially cold dinner. The people working were VERY kind and apologetic but when I got home and started eating dinner at 9:20 I forgot all about their extra efforts. My valentine was disgusted by his meal! Egad! May not be going back..."

"I arrived just under an hour before closing and was greeted with exceptional service. The young woman at the counter was incredibly patient and offered fantastic recommendations. I ended up ordering the sushi bento box, a smoked salmon sushi roll, and some fried calamari as an appetizer. Starting with the calamari, it was incredibly fresh, crispy, and downright delicious, paired perfectly with the sweet chili sauce. The sushi roll was equally fresh and beautifully presented. You could really tell that the fish was fresh, with a great texture and flavor. The bento box was a delightful assortment that included miso soup, salad, rice, gyoza, a California roll, and six pieces of sushi. The miso soup was just right—not cold at all—and it was clear it hadn’t been sitting out all day; it was just fantastic. The salad was a simple iceberg mix with ginger dressing, but the dressing elevated it to something wonderful. The gyoza was enveloped in a sauce that struck a perfect balance between sweet and savory. The rice was neither dry nor overcooked, and it had great flavor and texture. The California roll, while basic, was still quite good. Now, let’s talk about the sushi—it was absolutely AMAZING! The salmon and tuna were perfect, and the crab was out of this world! My server was wonderful, polite, and attentive without being intrusive. She ensured I had everything I needed and her service was truly outstanding. In summary, if I could rate this restaurant higher than 5 stars, I definitely would! The food is a perfect 10/10, the service is also a 10/10, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. If you find yourself in New Bern, NC, definitely take the time to check this place out—it’s worth the drive!"

"I got there a little early and they were very nice and gave me a private booth, which felt really cozy. A couple of people came up to me and asked me if I wanted anything a few minutes after I sat down which was nice. My daughter highly recommended this place so I thought why not give it a shot. Well here 's my review.PARKINGIF YOU 'VE BEEN FOLLOWING ME HERE ON YELP, YOU KNOW THAT PARKING IS ONE OF MY DEAL BREAKERS I 'M OLD AND I DON 'T HAVE THE STAMINA TO PARK 12 BLOCKS AWAY AND I WALK LIKE A TURTLE SO BY THE TIME I GET TO THE RESTAURANT IT 'LL BE CLOSING TIME FORTUNATELY, THIS PLACE HAS PARKING RIGHT NEXT TO IT, so we 're good I don 't know why my voice to text is printing out in SO I apologize I 'm not screaming I promise you Let 's go back to the review. How was the sushi? I thought it was fresh and delicious. The sauces were perfectly seasoned. I took some pictures of what we ordered and I 'm not really a sushi roll type of person but I love their rolls.SERVICEEfficient and Fast DATE-FRIENDLY?I 'd give this place a resounding yes...ask to be seated in one of the tables in the middle if you 'd like to be seen and watch others pounce on their sushi rolls inside their booths. Price is fairly reasonable so you won 't go broke on your 5th date. (Did you hear that?! I get to explain WHY in my past reviews so don 't forget to give those a Thumbs Up if you like 'em so I know which Dating Advice you want to hear more of as I review these eateries I love."

"Ugh! It pains me to write this review because Muto used to be one of my favorite spots in Bellingham. In the last year or so the quality has been inconsistent and with the return to dine in the service has also lacked (it always kinda lacked but I think it somehow got worse). On our most recent trip to muto: -didn 't receive water or much service at all for ~15 mins. Finally, one of the workers came up to us, confused, asking if we needed water. -ordered a spicy tuna roll and the server brought it to us and it was very clearly not spicy. He even called it a spicy tuna roll when it was clearly missing the spicy part! It was just a normal tuna roll. This has also happened multiple times when I 've gotten it for takeout. -we ordered two drinks and they never arrived. We just kept waiting because muto is notoriously bad about timing and they bring things out at various times but they never came. And then they were on the bill -my tonkotsu ramen just tasted like saltwater. I 've probably ordered this ramen 30 times and this has happened a handful of times. I know it doesn 't taste like this so it 's just odd that the flavor can be so lacking, almost like someone forgot all the seasonings or watered it down. -my partner asked for no bamboo shoots in his ramen and they left them in.... It was even noted on our final bill. Not a huge deal but kinda the icing on the cake for our experience. All of these are pretty minor issues which I usually wouldn 't care too much about, but all of them happening at once and having had similar experiences in the past, I 'm just over it!"
