"I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming fried fish joint in Fort Worth that boasts a rich history of award-winning recipes. This hidden gem has been a local favorite for decades, and it's not hard to see why. The star of the show, of course, is the fried fish. The crispy golden batter perfectly encased the tender, flaky fish inside, creating a mouthwatering contrast in textures. It was clear that the recipe had been honed to perfection over the years. The seasoning was just right, adding a delightful kick without overwhelming the delicate flavor of the fish. What makes this place truly special is its long history of award-winning recipes. The owner proudly displays a wall of accolades and trophies, each one a testament to the dedication and passion that has gone into crafting these dishes. It's not just the fish that shines; their coleslaw, hushpuppies, and tartar sauce are equally exceptional. As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but imagine the generations of cooks who had lovingly passed down their culinary secrets. It's this tradition and commitment to quality that has made this fried fish joint a beloved institution in Fort Worth. If you're ever in Fort Worth and craving a taste of history, head to this fried fish joint. The combination of mouthwatering fish and a legacy of award-winning recipes make it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and history buffs alike."

"The salad bar was impressive, and the baked potato was served piping hot and tasted great. We found the desserts to be both delicious and affordable at just $2.95, under $4. We ordered peach cobbler and pecan pie, and we recommend adding some whipped cream on top, which we did once we got to Shreveport! A note about the location: The driveway is only about 10 feet wide, so if you miss the turn, you'll have to circle back about half a mile. It could be helpful if John Deere and Catfish King collaborated to create a shared gravel entrance from 11 AM to 6 PM for travelers like us! While they are right next to each other, there is no shared parking space. For travelers reminiscing about the days of unlimited hot catfish fillets, we hope this option can be available in 2024! One more thing about parking: there is a drive-thru, but if you miss the entrance, you'll need to go to the stop sign and take a turn onto the frontage road, which is half a mile back. The proximity to John Deere is a benefit, but they don’t have a shared entry or drive-thru. If they could collaborate to create an open entrance for both businesses, that would be great, especially since customers often stop to get quotes for farm equipment while also needing a meal. There is a gravel drive at the back of John Deere too. We pass by this restaurant at least twice a month on our way from Shreveport to Houston!"
