"If you're looking for a quaint and/or trendy place in Newport, this is not it. This restaurant is located within a chain motel right off a major road, and while very clean and neat, has no ambiance to speak of. Having said that, let me just say that the food is excellent plain fare (although I would skip the lobster here. It was just okay) and VERY reasonably priced for the Newport area. There is a full range of menu items, to include a child's menu. The service was "meh", but all special requests were adhered to (for instance, "no garlic the food was hot and fresh and the portions were HUGE. It is an excellent choice for those on a budget not wanting fast-food fare, and/or for families with small children."

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"We ordered 180$ worth of food for take out, and our 3 large pizzas were messed up. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza with red onions and garlic, which ACTUALLY had pineapple, green peppers, regular onions with the chicken and garlic. The pepperoni pizza that we requested had literally 3 slices of pepperoni on the pizza. Then our last pizza was supposed to be just chicken and pesto, but they put tomatoes and onions on it when we clarified several times over the phone for no tomatoes or anything extra on any of our pizzas. We tried calling to discuss this, and the lady on the phone was unprofessional and disrespectful. She told my grandmother she should have looked at the menu online to know how the pizzas come, when THE WEBSITE DOESN'T HAVE SPECIALIZED PIZZAS LISTED AND ONLY HAD THEM OFFERED BY THE NUMBER OF TOPPINGS. And that’s bold of her to assume my grandmother would be able to have access to the internet in that way. To add to this, she did not answer the phone very nicely and hung up without trying to figure out any solution. This is so sad because we have been going here for YEARS and it ruined my brothers special birthday surprise."

"We always have a wonderful time at brunch at the Mansion at Soon Hill. The ambiance of the restaurant and dining room is beautiful, and both the food and service are fantastic. It's truly an incredible value for the price. The brunch menu offers a wide variety of options to choose from. Additionally, guests are served a yogurt, fruit, and granola parfait alongside freshly baked croissants and bread. Coffee is also included. I absolutely love this place!"

"Based on the other reviews, I can't understand what kind of day Bailey's was having during that visit, because we've been here several times and have consistently rated everything highly—except for the service from the waitstaff, which can be inconsistent. Managing that can be quite challenging, especially in the current circumstances. Overall, I give a five-star rating for their service and cleanliness."
