"Bar staff are fantastic... The food is disappointing. A mixed bag. First the positives. The beer selection is excellent and quite expensive. The bar staff are charming, friendly and helpful. The bar is immaculate. They couldn't come to a friendly place. It is quiet and relaxed. Ideal as a hotel bar. Now the negatives. The food is quite a lot from the lower draw. Dead salads, fat potatoes, cheese omelet with eggs thrown on a cold plate and cheese spilled on top with raw onions. A sausage plate with garnish (! . I have eaten here at several nights because I stayed at the adjacent hotel. That's the only reason I eat more than once. I know COVID has his business and they had kitchen problems, but the food bases are just not there. It's a shame because the place is brilliant. Good music, clean facilities; again I cannot complicate the bar staff enough. And if the management reads this, please let them know they are brilliant!"
