"The food was absolutely delicious. We arrived as a party of three and were seated right away. Our server was attentive without being intrusive; he offered helpful suggestions and accommodated a request for a side dish replacement for one of our guests. We ordered the jambalaya, shrimp and grits, country fried steak, boudin balls, and jalapeño cornbread. Everything was fantastic, and we all plan to return!"

"Wanted to give 5 stars, but our food didn't seem to be freshly cooked. Both the wings and fries were average temp, as if precooked and just under heat lamp. ?? Also, unfortunately the garlic wings were definitely not appetizing. We ordered the 20 piece wings, garlic, mild, and sweet chili. We went at 6pm on a Weds, only about 5 other customers in the reataurant at that time. By the time we were finished the place was getting pretty busy. Loved that they have 79 cent Wing Wednesday special! Will definitely go back, especially wanting to try the homemade onion rings! Will update review after next visit."

"When I tried to place a phone order for delivery on the day of my request, they instructed me to use a third-party delivery service like Postmates or Uber Eats. I complied, but the driver encountered problems delivering to a studio lot. After discussing the situation with both the gate guard and the driver, I was assured that my order would be left at the gate. Unfortunately, after some investigation, we discovered that it was never delivered. When I visited the bakery in person to discuss the issue, an employee promised to look into it and call me back, but I never received that call. I returned a week later to follow up, only to be told that the team was too busy to assist me. After explaining my situation again, both the employees and the manager informed me they contacted the third-party carrier and couldn't do anything else. In the end, I was left with a bill of $115 and no order, not even an acknowledgment of my concerns. It's disappointing that such a lovely bakery doesn't prioritize customer service. I will now be taking my business elsewhere and encouraging others to seek out bakeries that value their customers. Goodbye, Big Sugar."

"On Sunday night at 8:30 PM, I enjoyed pork tacos, pork nachos, and corn fritters along with a couple of beers. Often, when you order nachos, the toppings only cover half the chips, but in this case, every single chip was loaded with toppings. That's a great sign! I wanted to personally acknowledge the talented cook who prepared our meal, but the bartender insisted that everyone should receive credit. This approach shows that they work well as a team, and everyone is recognized for their contributions. They offer a nice variety of beers and ciders on tap, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place time and time again in a heartbeat! Our server was also friendly and efficient!"

"First time here and felt very comfortable. Sat at the bar with my fiancé, Scout was our bartender- we were drinking and eating- she was on top of everything!! EXCELLENT service and the burgers are AMAZING!!! We had the chips and pimento cheese outstanding! and we had the sliders and a build your own burger. Took the grilled chicken to go and I’m sure we won’t be disappointed. Cool local environment and I’m not local- but felt very comfortable and I highly recommend this place if you are local or passing though- will return THANK YOU SCOUT AND TEAM!!!"

"I was in town and decided to check out some Dallas BBQ, so I found this place. Usually, when a restaurant is only open a few days a week and has limited hours, you can expect great food. I arrived around 10:45 AM and had to wait in line, but it wasn't too bad. The line moved fairly quickly, and they had everything ready to go. I sampled the pork ribs, mac and cheese, brisket, burnt ends, and crack pie. Everything was absolutely delicious, tasting more like elevated home cooking than the typical mass-produced BBQ. The burnt ends were phenomenal, with a crispy exterior and tender interior. The crack pie was tasty too, although quite sweet. The beans were also excellent, and you can't go wrong with anything you order here. I highly recommend trying this spot—definitely a 10/10!"
