"We began with the fried artichokes, which were absolutely fantastic, served with just a slice of lemon. The batter was light, flavorful, and slightly salty. When you squeeze the lemon over them, they reach perfect balance. After some deliberation over the six or seven paella options available, we chose the meat and seafood paella for one. Although the waiter recommended the lobster paella, which wasn't on the menu, we decided to stick with the traditional choice!
The paella arrived beautifully cooked, featuring pork, cuttlefish, shrimp, clams, and mussels. The excellent part was that, despite all the seafood, there was no fishy smell—always a great sign! This paella was delicious, especially when paired with a glass of red sangria. What more could you ask for? Soccarat is an ideal spot for a romantic evening, or you could dine at the communal table running through the middle of the restaurant if you enjoy the company of others.
Be sure to stop in, try the paella, and when you're done, head next door for some churros—six churros with chocolate for just $6.00! You definitely won’t be disappointed."
