"*Cash recommended! My friend and I went to Park Avenue Grill because it came up highly rated for gluten-free friendly restaurants. This place was definitely popping! We arrived around 12:30pm on a Sunday, and we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. They will put you on the waitlist and will text you when your table is ready. The interior is cozy and reminded me of a bed and breakfast. If you pay in cash, you only need to pay the menu prices, which is why I recommended cash over card. We both ordered strawberry lemonade, which was refreshing, but the strawberry flavor took away from the tanginess of the lemonade. I ordered the Country Omelet $18) and my friend ordered some type of gluten-free tacos that were on the specials menu. The food was terrific!! For me, I got my omelet with fruit instead of home fries. The toast had the perfect amount of butter, and the omelet was flavored well and all the meats were juicy. My friend also completely cleared her plate, and did not have a gluten-attack after we ate here. The only reason that I did not give Park Avenue Grill 5 stars is because of the way I got treated in the restaurant. The waitress would not look at me and would only address my friend. I felt a little weird, but I did not want to read into it. It was my friend who brought up that the waitress completely ignored me. When the bill was brought, they also handed it directly to my friend. It was like I did not exist. I can see if I did not speak English or was rude to the staff, but that was not the case. So at the end of the day, it just felt slightly racist. It seems this is not a common experience at this restaurant when I was reading the reviews, but I wanted to put it out there because it was our experience."

"The first time we went there the calzone special was awesome. The second time we had a horrible experience yesterday. The waiter dropped the lemon then grabbed another behind the bar and then put his finger in my water when he returned. The boneless fingerswere round boneless rocks over cooked that took 25 minutes with buffalo sause poured over them with 3 tiny pieces of celery.Trying to get the attention of the waiter to put in the remaining order was difficult because he was all chatty with the Mgr orowner apparently. Then asked after we received the chicken if we want to put in the order after I had asked him to do so at thetime of the order. The seafood dish came but was supposed to be genuine seafood as I asked expecially the crab meat, but wasserved with a huge clump of rice plopped over 1 shrimp, 1 scallop, 1 mussel (in the shell) and a 3 inch slippery clump ofseafood sea legs all glued together served with sauce and a few vegetables costing...16$. When sending it back the excuse usedthat it is hard finding help and they are young. Not only that when we arrived there were two families with kids....the musicwas head banging heavy metal. When asked if there was a different station, the waiter said that this is the music that some guys who come into the bar like...I said there is no one at the bar....he walked away. Though the seafood dish was removed from thebill, we would not chance an exchange item. Not going back."

"My 1st time going to this one, better than the other 5th tavern, if I could give this place 7 stars I would. My 2nd time there I had to send my food back it was really bad but they gave me something else and I was happy. Sometimes we have to remember when places are busy like crazy on the weekends we have to have patience. Especially these days when nobody wants to work and businesses are struggling to keep employees. Still a good place to eat"

"Christmas in Old Alexandria with my family. Large group so options were limited. We found ourselves here and based on previous reviews we thought it would be good but we were underwhelmed. Seems like the consistent feedback from my group is that everything was almost good, but nothing hit the spot. Lacked seasoning, lacked a finishing touch, etc.; nothing special. Definitely won’t return. Very attentive server. Manager attentive. But it was Christmas Day so we appreciated having an option. We were starving and left full. Sometimes that has to be enough."

"Hello it took me time to get back to you with my feedback.I will start with some facts.This establishment offered me a window for my daughter celebration on the 2 5 2023 between 2:30 and 5 or 5:30 that doesn 't matter . But they placed in the contract food service for adults and kids at 4 which I didn 't pay attention to . People who came and didn 't play bowling we 're staying on an empty table. Drinks were not distributed we had to go in person to get them at the bar although there were 3 servers doing nothing. Kitchen refused to prepare the food early even though the bar area was completely empty. So I ordered extra food and that was Ok. They brought out the food. But for the preorder food was not OK to be prepared early? Then kids start eating their food at 4 and servers didn 't pour their drinks , parents were doing that. They didn 't serve the food parents did that. One of the servers said that this was not their job. She was "Do I really have to pour the lemonade ? "The food that I ordered for the adults was served at 4 it was obviously too late already and the food that I ordered extra was served on the bowling tables and they rushed to moved us out even though they said we can stay there. OP management were not cooperative , rude and aggressive. In this business you supposed to accommodate the customers. This is not a school cafeteria that works on strict schedule. The whole system of service in this establishment is extremely poor, unorganized and chaotic. I am very disappointed that this didn 't work out well for me and my guests. Those servers were doing incoherent things opposing my decision about cake placement, table set up and organizing of service. I ve been in this industry for 15 years and it bothers me that people don 't understand and can 't predict the needs of a customer. You simply can 't serve food 30 min before the end. I know we spoke about the food but i was never mentioned the hours i didn 't see it coming. How can you invite people adults at 2:30 and suggest them to stay there 2 hours with no food. And the place was empty. A la card menu was open but the preorder food not.Bartender was 1 person and you had 3 OP managers? Bartender was slow unorganized and rude too. I would have to say that the whole personal there needs additional training. I will definitely recommend to all of my friends not to come to that establishment. Since the whole class of my daughter 's private school was there and no one was satisfied you can make sure of the negative impact to that establishment. Bowling , food , games is good order in general but refusing the food for the adults was terrible idea. I made sure that people who were there can eat and your stuff refused to get it because they put on the contract 4 o 'clock. For kids fine but for us???? "I strongly advise against supporting this restaurant! I went in today to try their wings, which I've been eager to taste after hearing so many positive reviews. It was a Friday night around 6:30 PM when we arrived, only to find out that the kitchen was closed. Why? They claimed they were too busy, so they just chose to close up shop. This seems to happen frequently, according to what I've heard. It’s simply laziness at the expense of many customers' dinners, especially since this place is one of only a few in town. This also might explain their high prices. Honestly, our town has a Dollar General, a Stewart's, and this restaurant, so it looks like I'm stuck with frozen pizza tonight. Thanks for nothing, John! I'm sure your business will thrive after consistently inconveniencing customers!"

"Nice place. However, we had 2 complaints. First, there were major depressions where we usually hit the ball on #6 on both sides of the tee. This was very frustrating to hit out of and we had to move it further up or behind which was annoying but could live with it. Second, the service was horribly slow. We waited to get served for 30-40 minutes after we started golf, she did an okay job getting drinks I guess but otherwise it was so slow. We couldn't order food because I didn't think it would get done in an hour before we had to leave. But it's a nice clean place, very nice simulator for the most part. I did find that #6 the yardage was off, I was hitting my 5 iron only 160 yards, which should go closer to 200 on other simulators. Maybe it was because it was pebble beach or something like that I don't know. Always seemed way short but we all think that we hit longer than we actually do, still was way short to me. We will be back but could be improved."

"Great BBQ place. There have 2 locations. I have never tried the other one, but have been to this one more than once. I was told “this” was the location to go to for the best experience. Although the sliced brisket was a bit drier than I like, it was still good, and everything else was as well. What you see on the plate is Battered fries, baked beans, Mac n cheese, brisket, pulled pork, and a large rib. Toast of course as well. It’s an old school set up with phones at the tables, although they do have wait staff. They also have very good (I assume home made) large cookies. These are well worth taking home if your BBQ filled you up. Outdoor patio is a nice place to eat on a decent day as well."

"The waitress was wonderful and attentive. Service was wonderful. Wonderful mimosas sweet n lovely for breakfast. Very good antipasto and prime rib. The pork chop was tasty. Nice smoked salmon. The breakfast station was lovely. The scallops were good. However, some of the meat items for lunch were a bit tough n bland which at times can happen in a buffet. The shrimp cocktail after awhile was swimming in cold water not in ice. The dessert station really needs a chocolate fountain to make it pop since there were only a small selection for dessert, ex: 3 types of cakes. Good for the price and I would give it a five stars if the temperature was right on the shrimp n some of the meats were not tough and bland. We went just after noon n not on a holiday. I would go again since its close to home and nearer for my parents."

"Made a point of stopping here on the way back from the NJ side. It is one of our comfort places when we used to ride. The food is delish and ample portions. I took the champagne sauce from the mussels' home it was sooo good. Recommend toasting the bread for dipping. The pretzel came looking like a smiley face, lol. Huge. The cheeze and mustard perfect accouterments. The Mahi Mahi with mango was surprisingly delish. I would recommend cooking it a bit less. Was a bit dry. The wrap my husband assures me was very tasty. Parking is an issue. There was a young one training he worked hard. We shall return."

"We have been to this restaurant a few times as we live in Hilton head plantation, however the service has been poor every time in terms of the attitudes of the staff. FYI- we have eyes and can see the eye rolls to each other and hear the things you think you are complaining to each other about as we leave or the remarks as we arrive. They have made it abundantly clear that they do not love young children in the restaurant, so we do not plan to return. Food has always been good though."

To start the atmosphere is fun and festive however the prices of the food and drink vs the quality was our biggest complaint. While we expected to pay more we also expected the food to be better. "Food came out quick but by the cooler temperature of the meats, you could tell it had been sitting out quite some time. Burnt ends were ok but many were dry chewy. Got one rib with my two meat plate and it had very little edible meat on it. One of the worst ribs I’ve had anywhere dry chewy with little meat and mostly fat and bone. Paid over $18 for a handful of burnt ends, one dry chewy rib, 2 sides (coleslaw and bbq baked beans) and a slice of Texas toast. The sides were the only thing decent. Service consisted of a waitress dropping off the food and a different counter person coming by and asking how the food was just before I left. Couldn’t even get anyone to refill my drink for me. Gave it 2 stars for the slaw and beans, otherwise would have been one star. Way overpriced for the poor quality and small portions that you get. I won’t be back."

"Went to Twin Peaks today with my family and from the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and was taken to our table with whom we sat with our server Angel B. Great service, she was so nice and funny! She refilled our drinks without me having to ask, offered great recommendations. Food took a bit of time but she did let us know that before hand as they were understaffed in the kitchen that day. As we were waiting she came and had fun conversation.
