"At one time I placed Byron’s at the top of my list. Once they sold their North/Halsted/Clybourn location located to Halsted/Division they started going downhill. The product may be good but they don’t fill your fries to overflowing any longer the Lawrence location is filthy. Has been for years. Owner doesn’t care but still has photos of bygone era with President Barry. Food trash on the floor overflowing from garbage. Tables are never cleaned filthy. Restrooms are like the Illinois rest stops, meaning you are better off going to the side of the building or the alley to relieve yourself. We relocated to North Carolina and this was our third time here in 3 years no change. I was in the area so I figured one last try. My wife I won’t be back. Plenty of places in Chicago burbs that are better cleaner."

"Do not be intimidated by the small space inside. Get in there and be shoulder to shoulder with other cubbie fans! Such good and very well seasoned food!! The owners still work behind the counter after countless years and are amazing! Will always be a returning customer! :"
