"Lee's has the best Chinese on the west side, by far. I love that you can customize the level of spiciness for spicy dishes. We get the same thing every time: sesame chicken and medium spicy General Tso's chicken. It's consistently good. Service can be hit or miss but the food makes up for it. My biggest criticism is that the side of fried rice isn't worth the extra cost. It's the blandest fried rice I've ever had. Our solution is to just get the white rice and mix it with the entrees' sauce. If you're nearby and craving solid Chinese, Lee's is a great choice."

"One complaint: Let me clarify, I truly enjoy the flavor of the food here. However, when it comes to certain dishes, like the fried rice with protein options (pork, chicken, shrimp, and the China Chef varieties), I've noticed a consistent issue. When I open the carton, the top layer contains almost all of the protein—I'm assuming this is done to create a good initial impression. Yet, the remaining 75% is primarily filled with rice and has very little meat. This isn’t just a one-time occurrence; it’s something I’ve observed over the past 30 years. While it isn't exactly a bait and switch, it certainly gives off that impression."

"As we do every year, we did takeout for New Years. I understand it's probably the busiest night, but it's also a night people are spending alot on food. The food was terrible. The teriyaki was burnt, the general chicken was dry and some of the chicken from sweet and sour was raw in the middle. Very disappointing. We have ordered from Asia so many times and now we will no longer. The Lincoln location has gone downhill and Cranston isn't convenient."

"First of all, FOOD it’s absolutely delicious:D. I don’t ever write reviews because it’s a waste of time but I’ve read the reviews before going here (ofc like everyone else) and the reviews don’t seem very good for some reasons. BUT the food here is made in a way that bring out the flavor. I ordered the beef and broccoli and I LOVE IT. The beef is made in a way that it’s chewy at first and then after chewing it, the flavors of just asian cuisine comes out . I would say it’s the best Chinese food place in this area. Service the people here are very amazing and friendly. The line was very long but they manage to take care of every customer in a timely fashion. Just looking at how much people there is makes me stressed, I don’t know how they do it, ngl. The Atmosphere, I gave it a 4/5 because people would think I’m a bot if I don’t put that. This place looks like it leads back to almost 30 years. The artworks, the clock by the corner mirror(a kid there showed me, it glows and it actually works) , the phone (I tried the phone and it actually works), and even the heater at the side looks so long agooo. I also asked too and the kid told me it leads back to almost 20-30 years. Crazy isn’t it??? Also, food gets soggy because you don’t pick up your order at a timely fashion and eat it at a timely fashion, I don’t know what the hell people here are complaining about!!!"

"I used to be a regular at this restaurant, but I moved away years ago. I still have a Jade Garden magnet on my fridge. I am visiting home for the holiday and decided to stop by for the first time in years. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. My usual order is the combo plate with General Tso's chicken (extra spicy), pork fried rice, and crab rangoons. It may not be fancy, but it is still my favorite Chinese takeout, even after living in Chicago for 15 years."

"I decided to give this restaurant a try since it’s just five minutes from my workplace and it had good reviews. Unfortunately, the food was some of the most watery and flavorless Chinese cuisine I’ve ever tasted. It might be a decent choice for someone who is health-conscious and seeking a low-sodium option. I ordered shrimp and broccoli along with some wings. The wings were soft and fried, and the shrimp sauce was quite bland. I rated it three stars solely because the food was served hot and the service was friendly. I would only recommend this place if you're looking for a healthier alternative to typical Chinese restaurants."

"I am giving this restaurant four stars because we ordered through Grubhub and it took almost 2 hours for our food to arrive. This was not the restaurant's fault, but next time we will just do pick up. The order arrived intact but needed to be warmed up. Despite this, the flavors were exceptional, I would give them a 10 out of 10. The Honey Pork Pad See Ew was particularly delicious, with a perfect combination of charred smoky cumin and great texture, tasting like seasoned BBQ meat. It was amazing! The Shrimp roll was a classic and lived up to its standard."

"I rarely will post about a bad experience in a restaurant because we worked in the business and understand it could just be a bad day... I have to share a horrible experience with Thai Town in South Elgin. We wanted to try something new and trust me we will not go that route again. Called the order in for pick up and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, went it took another 35 minutes waiting. We ordered 2 pad Thai meals, sesame chicken meal and an order of calamari. While I was there the kids wanted the soda with the tapioca which I thought would be maybe a few dollars 5.00 a piece). I was handed a tiny bag and pulled up a screen to tip her 9.00 or more on the meal I was picking up, they would deliver for 6.00. We are all for tipping but really... I did tip 3.00 like a fool.. The drinks the kids threw out because they said it tasted like bleach. Charged 9.95 we were given literally 8 calamari. They told my son when he questioned why it was so small that calamari is expensive??? We came home and I was just so disgusted and showed my husband so he called the owner got on the phone and he explained to her that he wanted half our money back because it was so bad. She said bring it all back and we said fine we will be right there it was terrible). The son called before we left screaming "How dare you talk to my mother that way and my husband said I was very nice to your mother but I am very very dissatisfied with your service and food. The son said keep the food and fight your bank, I will not give you back your money!!! They said they have to feed their family and could not give a refund to us and my husband said he was simply trying to feed his family and it was unacceptable food and service. The 8 calamari were literately rubber bands dipped in breading served with a watered down sweet and sour sauce..... Longest post I have ever written... Wish I would have read the Yelp and Google Reviews First!!!! Pictures will not post but will upload if I can so you can decide for yourself.."

"This place has quickly become my new favorite restaurant. Most of the dishes we've tried have been above average. The hot and sour soup was delicious, and the Szechuan crispy prawns were fantastic as well. The sweet and sour deep-fried fish was enjoyable, though it had quite a bit of batter. Nonetheless, I would definitely order it again. We also liked the Moo Shu, which we had with shrimp. The Kung Pao chicken had great flavor but was a bit overcooked and dry. We found the cashew nut chicken, mixed veggie beef, and black mushroom with tofu to be somewhat bland and not our favorites. Someone suggested trying the Happy Family Delights, so that's on our list for next time. As for the service, we had no complaints despite the restaurant being packed. It did take a little while for us to place our orders and receive our food, but the waitress was friendly and joked with us. She was clearly working hard, managing two large groups that arrived simultaneously. Overall, this place is definitely worth a return visit."

"Lai Thai Restaurant is a lunch spot that should never be missed. So, calling all people who love Thai food visit! Ha, let me get into it! The food and LTR is in my top 5 Thai restaurants in Illinois! The food quality is amazing and the flavor is the closest to Thai food that I have had. Or at least there is what I think. Can’t go wrong with the pad Thai! The service is great, waitresses check in often and are able to give recommendations. The atmosphere or ambiance like I call it, really is laid back back anyone can feel comfortable ordering food. The color scheme of the restaurant is vibrant really and I personally like it. Overall, one of the best Thai spots that is small business owned where the food has a personality of its own! You can’t go wrong giving LTR a try!"

"The decor was standard for a strip mall restaurant, but the place is spacious, clean, and has plenty of tables. I think the previous restaurant in this location was a Chinese place called Chopsticks Inn, but it's been so long since I've been there—about 20 years! As for vegetarian options, there weren't many available. The parking lot is large and shared, which is convenient. There isn’t a kid's menu, but the food is suitable for children. Lastly, the front door isn't automatic, so keep that in mind for wheelchair accessibility."

"We have been shopping around for decent Chinese near us. I tried this place as the prices seemed fair. So the food was ok. Things need a little improving and if they improved then I'd give them 5 stars. We got 5 items which were sweet and sour pork, general Taos chicken, bbq pork fried rice, pork pot stickers and chicken chow mein. General Chicken: the best out of the bunch, decent crunch and flavor. I liked this the most. Sweet and sour pork: couldn't stomach it, too sweet and pork just didn't taste fresh. Also came to us soggy. Was also chewy. Chicken chow mein: needed more chicken ! Had very few pieces but the taste was fine. Maybe use less soy-sauce. Noodles were thick and cabbage was fresh. Bbq pork fried rice: needs improvement. Was lacking flavor. Not enough salt and again bbq pork didn't look good, looked old. Pot stickers: like 3/5 not great and not bad. Way too thick of dough and the flavor was too savory for me. But ok flavor. So I mean the food was pretty good. I'd order here again but I won't be ordering anything with pork. And the fortune cookies were stale"
