"We ordered the galbi soup and budae jjigae, and they did not hold back on the ingredients or flavor. Each bite was packed with a generous mix of vegetables, meat, noodles, and broth. We arrived hungry and left with plenty to take home for the next day. To our surprise, we were also offered a selection of ice cream bars at the end of our meal. Jon, the owner, was fantastic and checked on us at all the right moments to ensure we were pleased with everything.
During our second visit, my husband and I ordered enough food to feed an army! We started with the seafood pancake and soy garlic wings, both of which were crispy and served piping hot. The seafood pancake was filled with a wonderful assortment of vegetables and seafood, cooked just the way I like it—crispy on the outside and thick and chewy on the inside. Next, we had the samgaetang and bulgogi dupbap. The soup featured a whole Cornish hen along with ginseng and chestnuts, and you could really taste that it had been simmered for a long time to extract all the flavors. The bulgogi was incredibly tender and flavorful.
We ended up with so much leftover food because we definitely ordered more than we could finish. The restaurant may not be heavily decorated, but it has a warm, homey vibe that perfectly complements the food. There are plenty of tables, so the wait is never too long, and the takeout orders are always organized, indicating that they are constantly busy producing fresh, delicious meals. We can’t wait to return and try more items from the menu!"
