"First off, the restaurant is massive. The service was attentive, keeping us informed about when the food we were waiting for would arrive. I enjoyed the traditional jasmine tea, which I really love. The pickled cucumber was fantastic, and the Asian broccoli and pea shoots were also wonderful. Our favorites were definitely the fried crab claw and the Sui Mai (pork version), along with various other dumplings.
One of my personal favorites is the BBQ pork buns in all their variations. They were good, but they seemed to lack a certain depth of flavor that I’ve experienced at other Dim Sum places. The salt and pepper pork ribs were decent, although some pieces had more fat than meat. On the other hand, the sesame balls were incredible—perhaps the best I’ve ever had. I was really impressed.
There's only one other place in Chicago that I prefer overall, but I will definitely return for those sesame balls and the fried crab legs! I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that they’re open for dinner, as many Dim Sum restaurants typically only serve breakfast and lunch. It was nice to visit for dinner when it was less crowded, especially since I had a craving for it at that time."
