"I absolutely adore this restaurant. As a Cajun girl, it's always tough to find authentic Louisiana cuisine in California. The Crawfish Mac & Cheese is absolutely delicious, and the Po Boys are top-notch (especially because of the bread choices). There are so many options to choose from, making it hard to pick just one. The shrimp and grits are also outstanding. The only downside was the Gumbo, which wasn't as rich or thick as I expected. It seemed like they tried to thicken it too much, giving it a gravy-like consistency. In my opinion, Harlod and Belle’s still has the best Gumbo in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, everything else at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. It has a lot of character and reminds me of home. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a go."

"My group of 6 were so impressed with the food offered for Denver Restaurant Week! And the portions were generous and the choices pleased everyone. I couldn 't believe that I woukd get the full size Shake and Cake for dessert. Needless to say, after enjoying the 3 previous courses, I had to take the case home and couldn 't finish the shake. I 've always enjoyed my dining experience at D Bar, but this year for DRW, the staff in the kitchen and out in the restaurant knocked it out of the park."

"Philomena is a treasure in the neighborhood. Been going there since they opened. Love both the pub feeling with a great tap and canned beer selections, and their pizzas, especially the pork belly option. Great place to go with friends land family, or both! I have been ordering my own pizza creation for years: white sauce, pork belly, persilade, Calabrian chile, and arugula. Hope one day they name that pizza after me! Kid-friendliness: Going there with my girls since they were about one year old. They are 9 now and they love it. There is always something for kids and adults."

"My fiancé wanted to surprise me with some good BBQ after a long day of work since we?ve been craving it and he came across Mama Weber?s. He LOVED Mama?s energy and warmth that she radiated as he spoke to her. He knows I don?t like coleslaw so he order myPulled Pork Sandwich without it, but Mama gave me some on the side so I can try it and told him I should try it because she?sgot great coleslaw. LET. ME. TELL. YOU! I have ALWAYS hated coleslaw, I tried the coleslaw they gave me and my eyes have beenopened! I loved it so much I ended up actually putting it on my pulled pork sandwich and ate the whole thing! The food wasquality all the way around and worth the price. (The Fried pickles were a little saltier than I would liked, but I just rubbedsome off before eating the rest. I will be back soon to meet Mama myself and next time we are trying some desserts! Keep upthe great work!"

"I received an incorrect order today. My sides were left in an open bag on the counter, while they corrected the meat in my order. I called and spoke to the manager concerning the preparation of my fish. I explained that it was very mushy and notedible. The entire time I spoke she repeated, ?I apologize that that happened?. Very condescending behavior!! She also statedthat when fish is left too long it will sweat. The plate was handed to my son once it was prepared, so it didn?t have time tosweat. Excuses are unacceptable management responses and she needs training. I advised that I didn?t want a refund, but therestaurant had to do better. This is not Louisiana cooking! The gumbo has disgusting tasting sausage and the beans in the redbeans and rice are deplorable. Needless to say, I trashed the food at a nearby Publix. Stay away from this place. It was awaste of money! Had her response been sincere, I would have only made a phone complaint."

"This is a real treasure of a place. It 's 1/2 restaurant and barbecue meat store and 1/2 museum of random memorabilia that strikes the owner 's fancy. This obviously includes pinball with an array of games from the late '70s to modern day. The food is quite good. The barbecue sauce is nothing special. I couldn 't find anything really spicy on the menu which you would expect there to be something like that around here but it 's a barbecue place so that 's not unusual. "I'm not usually a donut person, but every donut here is absolutely amazing! I've tried almost every flavor, from sweet to savory, and each one is incredibly delicious. The Mango Chamoy, in particular, was out of this world!"
