I showed him my driver's license with my address, offered my Encore discount card, and even referenced multiple Facebook posts from my condo community confirming that Café Intermezzo provides a local discount. Despite this, he insisted he was "not trying to argue" but had never heard of the Encore program and claimed they had never offered that discount. It felt very dismissive and frustrating, especially since other nearby restaurants either honor the discount or at least handle the situation with empathy, leaving me feeling welcome rather than unwanted. Even if you're not a local, it seems like the management here doesn’t prioritize customer care. On a positive note, my server, who wore heart-shaped glasses, was very pleasant and deserves to be the manager instead."
