"Party of 3 on a Thursday evening. High expectations due to reviews, photos and menu descriptions. The one who ordered the Parmesan Crusted Salmon raved on the flavor, said the Parmesan risotto was wonderfully creamy. Although the salmon was only about 1/2” thick and looked like the tail portion of the filet that’s usually used for a salad or stew and was very dry. This might be why there was a generous amount tomato buerre blanc sauce, which was obviously broken. The 7 green beans were fresh and tasty. Two of us wanted to share the sorghum fried chicken and the braised leg of lamb. We were surprised when they were already split and portioned for us so we had four enormous rectangle platters that barely fit the table. The sweet fried chicken was interesting. It was tasty but not something I’d probably order again. It may have been better if it wasn’t over cooked which made the meat incredibly dry, crumbly even. I finished most of it and was full enough so I only tasted the lamb which again, very dry. Again, this was compensated for with a lake of sauce (also broken). The vegetables were good, at least the 3 Brussels sprouts I had were. Sadly, the mashed potatoes were also dry and actually cold in the center.Normally I would’ve sent the dishes back to the kitchen but it was a special evening for my two guests and I didn’t want to ruin it.Perhaps Thursday is the “get rid of the leftovers” day. Most likely the sauces were reheated too high causing them to break and the meats may also have been reheated from the day before, potatoes also. Only the veg seemed fresh so it was unfortunate there wasn’t a bit more."
