"John's City Diner is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner The menu is familiar southern comfort but as promised on the menu it's not exactly like your grandma made. Traditional southern dishes are elevated to a new realm. Not for the sake of making them fancy but definitely better. Familiar southern dishes like pork chop, baked chicken, fried chicken and waffles are southern staples but each dish is elevated in taste and presentation that makes them better and makes you want to return and try another entree because everything is so good! Even Mac and Cheese can stand as entree presented in three varieties, it is simply the very best. The prices are very reasonable and the service is outstanding. Although the bar is small in size the cocktails and liquor selection is amazing. A variety of hand picked bourbon and tequila options elevate the cocktails with drinks that are both familiar and unexpected but always delicious."

"Really enjoyed the restaurant. The vibe is really low key, but really nice — very comfortable. And the food was really good — we did a lot of sharing plates and each one was better than the next. They were creative, spiced and presented really well, and all delicious. And the service was really good too — you never had to ask for anything, they were always one step ahead and super nice too. And it was all very reasonably priced too — especially for what we had and the quality. Will definitely go … – show"

"We are a regular customer at this restaurant and always rate it a 5. But we were very disappointed in our Mother 's Day meal today! Salad bar was exceptional as usual! 2 of us got salmon and it was good. However, our sons both ordered the filets cooked MEDIUM. Both were cooked medium well but closer to well. Our Server asked if there was anything you just can 't eat? Lol! We said we shared our salmon so no one starved! She said she would let the manager know but it was not her fault because she turned our order in for both to be cooked medium and agreed they were not. They were very busy today and obviously manager had not heard from the server about our experience because as we left I mentioned something to the manager and she just said oh I 'm sorry! Not what I would have expected for a $200 meal but especially for a customer who considers themselves regular and even takes large groups to this restaurant. Huge disappointment in how this was handled more so than the overcooked filets."
