"The service was great. The food was only okay. We had the crab cakes and we both had red fish (one with creole sauce and one blackened with crawfish étouffée). The crab cakes were cold, but the taste was good. The blackened fish was so overcooked, it had the texture of dry chicken breast. I can make much better at home. I would have sent it back, but I was in a hurry. The greens that came with both dishes were good. Definitely overpriced for what it is."

"This place here, please do not go HERE! My family of 4 walk into this empty restaurant and was seated at a dirty table! After we asked for table to be wiped down, we order mozzarella sticks and they came out with spaghetti sauce and not marinara sauce! Then they said they were out of bread! Then they said they were out of marinara sauce for one of the meals! But you knew that when the appetizers were ordered, but didn't say anything!! Then charged us for 4 teas and 3 salads, but only one salad was ate. How do you open at 11 am and we arrived at 4:30pm with no more bread and marinara sauce? DO NOT GO!! MANAGEMENT HAS TO DO BETTER, WAY BETTER!!"

"Buzzard Billy's came recommended by the bartender at Pearl Street Brewery just up the road and boy did she know what she was talking about! From the time we walked in the door to the time we walked back out the door, the experience was top notch! Service was genuine, friendly and welcoming and the food was out of this world delicious!! Hubby had the Cajun Combo with the addition of dirty rice and he was blown away by all the flavors and portions! We've been to Louisiana and didn't have food this good, these folks totally know what they're doing! I had the Ca C'est Bon (Saw-Say-Bon) and I swear it was the best meal I've ever had in my life! The Cajun catfish is phenomenal and the sauce that the fried potatoes soak in is worthy of awards! The bread is a slice of heaven, all buttery and crunchy, fresh and soft but that corn... wow... what's with that corn... so good!! There are two other locations of Buzzard Billy's, both on our travel map journey if we're ever in the area. I sure hope we get back to this location some day because I will forever crave this meal!"

"HORRIBLE SERVICE AND STAFF!!!! The only reason I'm giving 5 stars is the food!!! From our arrival the hostess (a guy and a girl) were unfriendly and rude. Not a good face for such a popular restaurant. Our waiter Taylor was incredibly slow to even greet us at the table. We had to wait another 20 min just to order the appitizers, when they finally arrived the crab cakes were good, the crawfish queso was good but the chips were stale absolutely gross told waiter he didn't care nor did he bring us new ones. It took another 25 min to get him to come back to our table so we could order our dinner. We had the Mardi Gras Pasta and the Seafood Jambalaya which were amazingly good which is why this gets 5 stars. Back to the waiter his service was absolutely horrible very unhelpful not attentive at all. We've been here several times and this is the worst service we've ever had."

"This establishment is a historic gem! We spent four nights here and were thoroughly impressed. The staff, from the reception to the maintenance team and everyone in between, was extraordinary. During our stay, we explored the Snowy Range and returned each evening to enjoy a delicious meal and cozy accommodations. The gift shop is fantastic, and the theater room is a nice touch. We also loved the breakfast area with complimentary coffee and cloths to clean our motorcycle! Sipping morning coffee and enjoying happy hours on the gorgeous terrace with stunning views was a highlight. We will definitely return! A big thank you to the owners and staff for making our stay so enjoyable."

"Our waitress was great. Bruschetta not so good. Worst was hostess sat us at a narrow booth we couldn't comfortably fit in. When we told her she said they were all that way and we would have to get a table. They clearly were not “all that way”. In fact this was the only one that appeared that way as it was on the end of the row by the kitchen. Rude!"

"Absolutely recommend going here. Local place. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff. They can use our support in these times. They’re understaffed unfortunately so we didn’t get ideal service. It was busy, but the food came out pretty quickly and it tasted great. Once the crowd left, we got to talk with our waitress for a few minutes and learned about the struggles of the local economy the price of lobster."

"Overrated and overpriced. I?m sorry but no. The fries were $8! So greasy. The ranch however was really good. It?s a shame they don?t have wings to go with it. We were told the fries would feed 3-4 people. Not hardly. I?ve never seen my husband notfinish a burger but he couldn?t eat this. He tried. It was gross. All you could taste was the chili. So overpowering. My turkeysandwich looked like a school cafeteria sandwich. It all reminded me of bad diner food. How does this place get such goodreviews? The service was not bad and the margarita was good but we will not return."

"I had a couple of options in mind from the menu but couldn't decide. I asked our server for a recommendation, and they suggested the all-you-can-eat catfish, which is a top seller—so I went for it! It comes with two sides, and I chose mashed potatoes and green beans. Overall, the dinner was really good. While I thought the catfish was tasty, it wasn't the best I've ever had; my mom actually liked it more than I did. She ordered the shrimp platter, which I also tried and found delicious—she enjoyed it a lot. The service was excellent! Although it took a while for our food to arrive after ordering, our server kept us informed about what to expect. I appreciated that as soon as my catfish arrived (three generous pieces), she immediately asked if I wanted a refill since it would take a little longer to cook more. I said yes, and she let me choose how many pieces I wanted, which I thought was a great process. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I noticed that there were only a few servers covering our area, but they were all working hard to ensure that every guest was taken care of. Also, JJ's has several large banquet rooms; I’m not sure how to reserve or rent one, but I’ve attended an event in one before, and it was quite nice."

"The food was wonderful! The atmosphere was clean with good jazz music playing. I had Shrimp Creole which was perfectly seasoned, the Cajun Shrimp was slightly spicy but very good. We shared fried mushrooms and the duck wontons, both were very good. The waitress started off as very attentive but as tables were added she lost interest in us forgetting our coffee and dessert."

"During my first visit to BLK Live, I attended a concert and dined at the restaurant. I tried the Kobe beef burger, which was delicious and exceptionally juicy. The drink selection was impressive, and the prices were quite reasonable. However, parking around the venue was somewhat limited. The pool in the middle of the seating area added an entertaining touch but took up significant space. The cabanas came at an additional cost for the event. Overall, I would consider returning here in the future."

"This was my second visit to Travel by Taste.  On my first visit, my wife and I ate dinner together.  This time it was a working lunch with some co-workers.  I have been impressed both times.  You order at the counter first.  Then you pay at the counter when you are finished.  While you are waiting for your food to be prepared, you can have a seat in the dining room, or you can look around in the market.  Where else can you get (for example) mint flavored, carbonated, drinkable yogurt? I ordered the tabouli and the grilled chicken Greek salad.  Mediterranean restaurants vary in the ratio of parsley to cracked wheat in their tabouli recipes.  This place likes to have a much larger quantity of parsley than cracked wheat.  Lemon juice was prominent in the dish.  It was a nice preparation for the salad that followed.  They put their chicken shish kabobs on the grilled chicken Greek salad.  The feta cheese on the salad comes in chunks about the size of a half dollar.  It was fairly mild in flavor.  I normally like feta cheese, but this was so mild that I could not enjoy it.  I opted for the balsamic vinagrette dressing on the salad.  They put a generous amount of dressing on it, and it was mostly good quality balsamic vinegar.  I enjoyed sopping up vinegar with the cut-up pieces of pita bread that were served with the salad.  It also paired well with the grilled chicken.  You may want to order this dressing on the side or order a different dressing if you would prefer to have less balsamic vinegar on your salad.  The service is friendly but a bit slow.  I agree with one of my co-workers: I am glad to know that this restaurant is around, and I will definitely return when I need to satisfy my cravings for gyros or shish kabobs."
