"The first time here. I love places that have a solid family history. We have the poor steak sandwich for what they are known for. What makes this different is the garlic butter that it is applied to the meat, not the bread. Unlike garlic bread, which can be unconsistent taste, this taste is consistent. It's a party in your mouth with every bite. We didn't get anything to get the full taste of the 6 oz round steak. Next time I add the mushrooms. They offered cheese, onions or mushrooms. It comes with thin-cut pimples. I have to say it adds a nice note when considering that I'm not in the Pickle Fanclub. The sandwich is a beautiful size and will make me 2 meals. I ordered fries and my husband ordered onion rings. The Pommes were common, the star was the onion rings. The presentation was appealing, they were crispy and beautiful light rings. They can bite through the onions, perfectly cooked. I hate to bite in an onion ring and the whole thing comes out. It is served with Ranch Dressing. Our friends recommended the double-baked potato. It was good, but I think it really wasn't with that sandwich. But my husband enjoyed it. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, the service is very good and attentive. The onion rings are expensive, but worth every penny. This restaurant was forever and does not need my review, but they have a great place, and we need to spread the word! We'll drive 60 miles and we'll be back!"

"This is my first visit to Wisconsin, as I'm here for a one-week business trip. I'm a professional who typically dresses in a suit and tie, and I'm fortunate enough to travel across the country for my work. During my travels, I’ve dined in hundreds of restaurants and was looking forward to unwinding at a local spot with good food, drinks, and hopefully catching an NBA playoff game. While exploring Milwaukee, I came across a banner claiming it had the "Best BBQ in Wisconsin." Being from Texas, I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype. However, from the moment I stepped inside, I didn’t feel particularly welcomed. The waitress handed me a menu, and when I inquired about the restrooms, I laid the menu down on the table and went to wash my hands. When I returned, the menu was gone. I thought perhaps she misunderstood my question and assumed I had left. It took a while for her to bring me a glass of water, and I had ample time to look over the menu multiple times before she returned with it. When I informed her I was ready to order, she took my order and walked away. Not long after, she returned asking for the order again because she had forgotten it. After finishing my meal, I went to wash my hands again, as there were no wet wipes or towels at the table, which is a common courtesy at many BBQ places. When I returned, my food and drink had been cleared away, and the table had been cleaned. So much for relaxing! I was left feeling frustrated and speechless by the experience."
