"We had their Thanksgiving buffet. The reason for my not so steller scoring, and the reason why it's not higher is because although the food was great, I didn't feel it was worth the 40.00 plate fee. It was just an average spread. Pretty much the staples of what a basic Thanksgiving meal should have. The drink prices were outrageous. The decorations were beautiful, but the tables were placed so close together that there was barely room to move around. Especially since it was buffet style and the line ran through where people were sitting. Had I known that, I would have requested to be seated in the other room they had there. Seemed quieter and less people, more room. The service was less than par, we got there early, we asked if there was a bar we can sit and wait. The host was a little short with us. She did invite us to sit in the lobby where others were waiting as well, but really didnt make us feel welcomed. This family walks in 15 min after us, and was greeted and seated in the dining room right away. They obviously knew them personally. Which is not an issue, but the host could have communicated to let us know what was going on. We really didn't have a waitress since it was buffet style, but we did have a server, that tended to our drinks and water needs. She was nice but unintentive, and not really friendly. But it was Thankgiving and unusually busy. I would come back during regular reasturant hours, someday, But because of the prices, It won't be for a long time."

"I normally never have any issues when me my boyfriend eat here. I am so upset because I did not take photos as I normally do. I went to choo choos the other night I ordered a chicken shrimp entree along with another chicken entree. I had no reason to suspect that their would be an issue. As I was eating, I noticed the chicken was extremely chewy. I spit it out noticed that the chicken was still raw. I immediately contacted choo choos was told to bring the food in next day as I had already made it to my destination. My boyfriend almost finished his meal, but also stopped because he began to feel sick. He eventually started to throw up could not stop. I took the food back to choo choos as instructed when I arrived, they signaled someone to come handle the issue, because as it was stated when I arrived “there she is. The one with the ….” Which is all I gathered. I knew there would be an issue. They took the food from me then huddled in the back to discuss the food. An Asian worker, male, came out to let me know that he would only give me a partial refund due to the chicken shrimp entree being “almost done”. I immediately became disheveled because I didn’t account for my chicken to not be done my significant other to become sick from poor quality food being pushed out of there establishment. That was improper, especially when I was quoted a full refund did what I was instructed to do. I will NEVER eat here again I advise whoever is reading this review to do the same. I will be reporting this issue to higher authorities because they did not handle this situation properly when I am not expecting to purchase RAW FOOD!! Clearly the process/preparation is poor for us to be sick from this also discovering RAW CHICKEN. They do give names so that they may be held accountable. They just do not care at all I really do not appreciate the experience I had. So much so I had to come write a review. I pray that someone reads this before they decide to purchase food here for their family. You are at risk for a serious food illness they don’t care. They will not satisfy their mistake."

"Rizzo's Malabar Inn Restaurant Review. The Malabar Inn of Rizzo is one of the best preserved secrets of Western Pennsylvania. Located in the heart of the small landscape town of Crabtree, the Defabo family has been offering its distinct Italian taste for the last 50 years. The restaurant is a South Italian spaghetti house with homemade dishes that attract people from all over the region. Over the years I have visited numerous Italian restaurants, such as the Spaghetti Warehouse in the Strip District and Buca di Beppo in Station Square. Although I enjoyed their meals, I still believe that Rizzo’s Malabar Inn is the best in the area. The beautifully decorated dining rooms offer a beautiful but relaxed atmosphere that is open to all ages. Each room is carefully decorated with traditional Italian decor and invites customers both in leisure and business. The world-class wart employees never fail to feel customers feel like they are home. The family chefs have and operate this restaurant since the early 1930s with a family recipe that has been passed on for over four generations. From their homemade pasta and pizzas to the tasteful calfs parmesan, these timeless favorites do not disappoint. My personal favorite remains her signature gnocchi alla telefono, a recipe of homemade gnocchi mixed with molten provolone cheese and covered in Rizzo's signature marinara sauce. In addition to these traditional dishes, there are delicious steak and seafood options. A gluten-free menu and hearty meals are also offered. In addition to these wonderful restaurants, Rizzo’s Malabar Inn offers classic desserts such as almond cream cake, homemade Gelato and Tiramisu. In the fifteen years I had eaten in this restaurant, I had only positive experiences with delicious hot meals. On a five-star scale, I would easily evaluate Rizzo’s Malabar Inn due to its consistent culinary quality and magnificent service. I would recommend this fine facility to all those who have the opportunity to visit."
