"Plenty of parking for starters. Was not crazy busy when we got there. It was actually nice and quiet. We had the buffet. Decent price for all the choices, and of course you can go back..Fruit, Cesar salad, cold shrimp with cocktail sauce. French toast, 2 Diff type of eggs, sausage, prime rib, mashed potatoes with gravy, fried chicken...I just named some. There are more items. The cheesy hashbrowns, BACON and the BBQ ribs were my favorite. They also had desserts. Rice crispy bars, cake and SOFT chocolate chip cookies. Not sure if they were homemade, but I liked them! I do not know our servers name, but she did a wonderful job with our party of 11 and several different checks. I also didn't take pictures of the food because I was being in the moment. Could totally see myself going there again."

"During a recent visit, my friend from St. Joseph took me to this restaurant and I absolutely loved it! While it was too chilly to sit outside and enjoy the views of the river, I was delighted by the cozy and woodsy decor of the dining room. The restaurant has a full bar, an excellent wine list, and a great selection of craft beers on tap. Our friendly and helpful server brought us fresh hot popovers with honey butter, which were absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the glazed salmon and I chose the pork ribs, both of which were fantastic. If we had room for dessert, I would have definitely gone for the lava cake - maybe next time!"

"Our first time eating at Mavericks. Essentially, it is a sport's bar upstairs over looking a casino. The food was alright. The soup of the day was Loaded Baked Potato. It's built on a cheese soup base with bacon bits, diced potato pieces and a touch of onion. Thick. Tasted good. (Seriously, what can go bad when you start with cheese soup as the base as long as it isn't scorched? I ordered the Applewood smoked bacon cheese burger with queso cheese and no bun (No bun? Yes, no bun. My side was the chili cheese fries. The Applewood bacon was thick and cooked over done. Solid as a rock cooked bacon. The burger pattie was great with the white quest cheese. The chili on the chili cheese fries is homemade according to the menu. It tasted great. Fries were crispy. My lunch companion ordered the pasta dish off the dinner menu. Chicken Tortellini. It came with 2 dinner buns that were cold from the refrigerator. We would eat here again, but maybe after we've tried some of the other restaurants in town."

"We planned our wedding and married in two weeks! With that said, I reserved her room for 2 hours, only so that we come a place for ppl and visit have a few drinks and maybe something to eat after we got married... we expected only about 30 ppl to show up! Lol well we had much more then that and they were not busy for such a big meeting on their other customers! The waiting staff worked out his ass and even called more employees to teach us! They apologised for abortion, but in fact they did an excellent job that served our party and, as far as I know, there were no complaints from our party about everything! So I wanted to thank the staff of G-Allen for their hard work and the challenge you really helped make it stress-free for us!"

"Terrible food and incredibly overpriced! I paid $25 for a steak dinner, and the steak was undercooked twice and was mostly fat! The taste was dreadful. The fries and onion rings were inedible—they tasted like old fish. When we spoke to the owner/manager, he seemed uninterested in our concerns. Take my advice and drive right past this place unless you enjoy wasting your money! On a positive note, our server Jennifer was excellent!"

"We are generally easy to please but our visit to The Dam Site Inn was the most disappointing dinner we have had in a very long time! It had been so hyped up and we were so looking forward to it after driving by for years. I realize it was their first day open for the season but while the female waitress were hustling the young man we had appeared to not care if he was there. After we got our food we never saw him again until he was waiting on the people seated behind us no we had to grab him quick before he walked away to have some of our items refilled. The chicken was also on the dry side and really didn't have any taste to i. We got one each little bitty biscuit. The coleslaw, homemade noodles and gravy was good. Peas and potatoes nothing special. We won't be back and thankfully we checked it out before taking friends. Totally over priced!! We will stick with the places in the area we know are good and also those local to our home that serve amazing family style chicken and ham dinners for much less!!!!"

"NOT what it used to be. I used to be in the neighborhood a lot about ten years ago and used to stop in regularly. I understand there are new owners. I stopped in at 1:30 on a Thursday, so a bit after the lunch rush. Place was dirty and appeared to be two employees. The only menu was a placemat with the menu in front of the register... this would have made it hard for me to decide what I wanted IF there had been someone else at the counter. The woman behind the counter asked Are you hear for the meeting? I asked, what meeting? and she looked nervous and said, never mind. This sounded like code for... are you here to pick up your drugs or something. Keep in mind... the place was EMPTY except for me... so again.. what was she asking? I almost left at that point. I ordered the 2 PC Chicken dinner. They did not have ANY Diet drinks... no body wants them so I guess I am no body . I sat and waited for my food. I brought a Diet Pepsi in from my car. Sitting I noticed how neglected the place was. There are only three small tables to sit in an area that could easily have held 12 tables. Maybe they dont want to make a place too loiter. The gum ball machine was empty and dirty. Old photos of the area were faded or damaged and there were photos of the OLD owners race cars still up on the walls. My food came... and it was hot, but appeared to be Chicken from earlier that had been dropped back into the fryer to heat it up. Lots of Fries and a handful of catsup packets. A small plastic cup of not very good Cole slaw as included. 8 bucks for two pieces of over cooked chicken and a bunch of fries... and a less than clean place to sit and eat... Nope, I will not be returning. And again, what meeting and what else might you be selling?"

"Very good local breakfast and lunch spot. We eat here often as it's walkable in downtown Clawson and it has never disappointed.The service is always attentive and nice.The food is fresh and I love how large the omelletes are. I would recommend their sausage over their bacon as a side. My go to order is the country omellete with gravy on top. My wife loves the hash browns and we both always notice that the coffee is extra strong compared to any diner we have been. The staff is great about coffee refills too.They have a dedicated customer base because the owner is very kind and attentive. Glad this is a well run local joint that so many support. Always busy but rarely a wait for a table unless it's the weekend."

"Nice place. Very clean and good bar food. I had a chicken philly sandwich and it was very good. My friend had the 10 ounce burger and loved it. We had good service and the beer selection is good. 2 cider ales, 4 IPAs, a stout, a porter, an amber, 2 seasonals and 4 domestics. I may be leaving a neer or two out but that's pretty much their selection one tap. Also, outside seating which is nice"
