"I have dined at San Jose several times and have always enjoyed the food and service, but today was a different experience. My wife and I both ordered the shrimp tacos. She had them before and loved them, but this time they were disappointing. Instead of whole shrimp, they were chopped up and mixed with rice, which seemed like a filler, and topped with sauce and shredded cheese. The flavor was very bland.
The service was also lacking. The server took our drink order and delivered our drinks, then brought our food a few minutes later but didn't check on us until it was time to present the check. Speaking of the check, it was $2.00 over the menu price for each item and $2.75 for a glass of weak iced tea. Unfortunately, we will be searching for a new Mexican restaurant. I'm not sure if there's a new owner or management, but this place is not what it used to be just a couple of months ago, and it's a real shame."
