"Twenty minutes to close I called to make sure we could be served. Bar tender said “come on in we will serve you”. We walked in and, it’s our first time here so we aren’t sure, so I asked if we just seat ourselves and bar tender says to just pick our seat and we will be waited on. So it’s a very laid back atmosphere. It was ten pm so only a few college kids were there. Waiter (I’m guessing was a manager or proprietor) was prompt to wait on us and very kind. We’d immediately had been served chips and salsa that my husband could have drank he loved it so much! Both were so fresh and chips were warm. A very sweet lady got us two horchatas that was the perfect choice to go with our food. My husband ordered a burrito that was ginormous, three tacos de asada. I ordered the (you pick two)combo with cheese enchilada and chicken tostada that came with rice and beans. The portions were great and the flavor was nothing less than authentic. This was a meal my mom, aunts and I would make at home for the family. Being so far from home in Chicago where you can find authentic so easily, we got so lucky this restaurant was so close and my first choice. The price was incredible and the portions were amazing so we are now loyal customers. We just plan to go a little earlier next time to beat the quickly built college crowd. Over all we are so incredibly happy and look forward to trying out the entire menu!"

"Travels took me into Wisconsin for the weekend, and while making the trip, the GPS recommended Cancun Mexican Grill. Of course, I quickly Yelped to see what folks had to say... and I found nothing! Time for an adventure my friend Kristen said. The place sits next to a Chinese Buffet (the scent of Chinese food almost stole us away from Cancun, but we were determined! Once inside, there was plenty of space. It was a nice interior, split off into a couple sections. Plenty of room for a larger party or if you just want to grab lunch with a couple friends. Our waiter brought bottomless chips to our table (with a thin salsa and some sour cream dip . We quickly spotted cheese dip on the menu and placed a large order. Between the white cheese dip and the ranch dip, we barely touched the salsa! (it wasn 't bad, it just wasn 't very flavorful, and certainly not as good as the other two I ordered the chicken burrito and Kristen ordered a steak burrito. Talk about portion size!! I didn 't need to eat the rest of the day although, I sure could have used a nap! ; The chicken was flavorful and moist, the beans and rice were standard but what really stood out was the sour cream. Wow. Just like their portion sizes, they were generous with that too. And it was really good sour cream. Not too thick, so easy to spread over the entire burrito. Yum! Kristen 's steak burrito was a little dry on the ends, but she enjoyed the entire platter as well. (we both enjoyed a little bit of white cheese dip drizzled over the rice and beans... yowza, what a great combination! I snapped a couple pictures as we were leaving to upload to Yelp. A bunch of best of awards hung on the wall over the cash register. With those kinds of awards, I was surprised not to see other reviews. Oh, and one interesting thing... Tons of Polaroids werre hung up all over the place (birthdays maybe? . I mean, literally, full walls of Polaroids. Hmmm, wonder who sells film anymore? ; Overall, great food. I took off one star as our service was lackluster. It 's a pet peeve to sit with an empty soda through the entire meal. Although, maybe that was a blessing, considering we had another 4 hours ahead of us on the road! The next time you 're in Chippewa Falls (or just passing by on the highway be sure to check out Cancun Mexican Grill for some yummy Mexican food!"

"I was first introduced to this restaurant by a Honduran friend who told me he knew an authentic spot. I've never had Honduran food so I took his word and gave this place a shot. Ever since, I try to visit every now and then since it is a bit out the way from me located in the Northeast. For those that aren't familiar, this place is known for pupusas. A pupusa is a circular flat bread that is stuffed with various meats and cheeses and is served with hot sauce and a pickled cabbage slaw. This dish is native to South American countries such as Honduras and Venezuela. I've had the chicken and cheese, jalapeno and cheese, and the pork and cheese pupusas and all were fantastic. Not sure if there is a correct way to eat pupusas but I put some of the slaw on top of the pupusa along with the hot sauce and folded it like a taco and went at it. Very good. I've also had the pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken platter) which comes with generous portions of grilled chicken, a side salad, black beans, rice and two tortillas. Before it used to be under 10 dollars but they've recently raised their prices and is now around 12 dollars. Even with the price adjustments, I feel like it's a bang for your buck. I always call ahead or order pickup through ubereats so I don't have to order in person and wait. Food is usually on time and the cashier is always friendly."
