"A fantastic BBQ restaurant to visit in Sacramento! I was really impressed during my visit. I opted for the fish tacos, which were crispy and very flavorful. The highlight was how quickly my food arrived—about five minutes after I placed my order. It was a great option for a quick meal that left me satisfied. They also offer outdoor seating for those lovely weather days. The special sauces were incredible, especially the chipotle ranch. Definitely give this place a try—so delicious!"

"You needed to order the food first before being seated. No one will serve you. It is all self-serve, including your water. They do have takeout. We decided to dine in. They have a full-service bar. You can order drinks directly from the bar ir from the initial ordering area when you enter. The food was mediocre and service could have been much better by someone coming just to follow up or ask how things were going Even upon entering no one greeted us. We didn't understand that you ordered first. Therefore, we were standing there for a while. Staff saw us but again we ended up asking after about 10-15 minutes (we were waiting for another guest to join us, but after finally asking we ordered before she arrived). It was a strange fast food method along with a dine-in atmosphere."

"This spot serves terrific sandwiches. Their burgers, pulled pork, and krispy fish is all good. The pulled pork even comes with a little cole slaw under the bun! Yummy. The prices are okay $8.49 for chicken, $8.99 for pulled pork, large fried for $4.29). The large fries really are a large helping. Seating is cramped and limited and there 's no place to dispose recyclable trash, two ceiling lamp bulbs were burnt out, and some of the soda dispenser 's limited options were 'out of service. ' Customer service was flat but fast."

"I see lots of negative reviews but I liked what I ate yesterday and feel like the prices are reasonable. I was thinking why don't I come here all the time given the prices and food options. I ordered the tri tip bites and sweet potato fries special for $12. Honestly, probably the best sweet potato fries I've ever had because they were crispy af. Also, the tri tip bites with the au jus or the horseradish sauce was yummy af. Next time I will order a salad with a protein on top as healthier option. I was tempted to order the Mac and cheese with toppings but I thought that would be a calorie bomb albeit looks delicious. I recommend this place."

"I agree that quality has certainly fallen. I ordered meat medium and got meat that was good as you can see. The Yik Yak salad was once full of different vegetables and cabbage and now 3/4 of them is iceberg salad. The sauce was not so spicy or tasteful, it was watered down or changed. This is the second time that I ordered a take-out/pick-up and the meat was overcooked. Really unhappy with these last, probably last experiences here. The first and best time that I had a yikyak salad from Buckhorn was in SF, and that was for sit down food.maybe order take-out is code for ? Give them the left meat and vegetables?, while the best is reserved for sitting dunes, the pay tips for the service. disappointing. I wish management would take this into account and make changes."
