"The owner/manager is extremely down to earth and great to talk to. You can tell he really cares about the quality of his food and that it's prepared the proper way.The restaurant is always clean and tables always wiped off. It smells good and there is always someone at the register when you come in.I've had several different dishes here from the pasta, jerk chicken, fried wings, fish, several sides, to my favorite--oxtail. And the truth is the food is good like 7/10, 9/10 on a good day but is overpriced. Oxtail plates range from $30-$36 BEFORE tax and that is ridiculous. I've gotten as little as 4 oxtail pieces in a plate that have thick cuts of fat. Most of the plate is rice and peas with small portions of cabbage and they never give much oxtail gravy. That sucks because they're gravy is as close to perfect as I've had. I still go because I haven't perfected my oxtail recipe to taste how I want and I absolutely love oxtail. This is the closest place to my house. But I'll have to try harder at home with these plate prices. Lol. Their jerk chicken is very good as well, especially if you like it spicy. Pastas are a more affordable option that is pretty good.As far as customer service goes, the manager is the only welcoming face I've encountered being in the restaurant. Everyone else is a little snarky, unhelpful, or just seems to have an attitude. The only exception is when he is there with an associate.Regardless of everything, I will still continue to go at least once a month and hope for the best because it is a well structured restaurant. It's worth giving a try when you're in the area."

"We drove by this restaurant several times as we were traveling to and from our hotel and decided we had to stop by before our vacation was over. Came in with a party of 6 around 9:30. The restaurant was almost empty, with maybe two or three tables occupied. The host did some calculations to see which table was best according to how many servers she had on the floor. We were seated soon after and it turns out she was our waitress for the evening. She quickly took our drink and appetizer order. It was hard to decide what meal to order, as the prices were extremely exaggerated for the food that was listed. I finally decided to go with one of the cheapest combo that listed 1 potato, corn, a lb of shrimps and added dungeon crabs. The food came out quickly. It was a bit on the bland side and I requested salt and pepper. The waitress brought some salt packets and mentioned they had no pepper. My sister had the same meal I did and the rest of the boys had chicken tender and fries basket and fried catfish and fries basket. Everyone has the same complaint about the food not having any flavor. Several customers stopped by to make orders to go or pick up orders to go while we were still dining in.The service wasn't too bad but it could have been better. The food just needed a little salt and it would have been much better too. All in all, it wasn't a complete disaster but we were definitely not planning to come back."

"I'm sorry, but I will not recommend this place to anyone. The only thing I really enjoyed was the guest Jazz performers. We paid $25 to reserve for the Jazz performers. The menu looked nice. It was very pricey, though. For the quality of the food.... those prices should have been more humble. We ordered a chicken tender and a fried shrimp appetizers. We were unimpressed. We ordered the catfish platter entree and the catfish and shrimp platter entree.. catfish platter was $20, and the catfish and shrimp platter was a whopping $28. I expected more for what we got and/or better quality and taste. When I tell you, that was the worst seafood platter I ever had in my life. And I'm from New Orleans, so I know good and flavorful food. The service was okay. Don't go in expecting top-tier service like you would get at The Warwick. We spent over $80 on the overpriced food, and it was just 2 of us. On top of that, they added an automatic 20% gratuity.... which wasn't deserved. Also, note that they charge $4 for a bottle of Ozarka spring water..16.9 Oz. Smh. So if you do decide to try this place out. Eat somewhere else first and just go to enjoy the show. They also need to work on being welcoming and giving better customer service. We are still in disbelief in how disappointing this place was. I'm sharing a pic of my $28 catfish and shrimp platter. My sister takes pics of her food, for content, everywhere we go..... not this time. I decided to take a pic to post a review."
