"Me and my wife visited this location for dinner, one of the waitress told us to sit anywhere we'd like, there were 2 waitresses, and the one that helped us seemed to be in a rush, eventhough she said hi, she asked us if we were ready, we said not quite ready and she walked away, the coffe we got was cold and seemed to be sitting in the pot for a long time, she came back and took our order, we ordered a sampler appetizer that came at the same time as the dinner, my Philly cheese steak was good and hot, the French fries were cold, my wife ordered the taco salad and had a good presentation but as she started to eat it looked like they chopped 3 hamburger patties and placed them on top of a handful of lettuce, the waitress disappeared for a few minutes and we had to call the bus boy so my wife can order something else, then the waitress came and we told her the situation and she rolled her eyes and took the new order, the she came and dropped the French toast which half wasn't cook all the way, she never came back to check on us, finally she came and slammed the check on the table and walked away, we didn't want to complain about the food cos she might think we wanted free food. Anyway we always go to country inn in prospect. But tonight we wanted to give it a try here. It's sad how restaurant business is not what it used to be, nowadays owners managers are so greedy that the only thing they care is to make money, and servers see that if they are careless(owners and managers) of course nobody cares, I used to work for a long time in the restaurant business and was totally different great service and good food( this is the second order we got. Just to prove that is not BS!!!!"

"It was a Sunday morning and we planned to meet some of our motorcycling friends for lunch. We originally made reservations for 12:45, but got down there earlier. They were able to seat us immediately. Fortunately, our friends got down there early enough to get a parking space because if they hadn't, parking is a mess there at the pier area. So we sat on the patio, which was nice, but kinda had an alleyway feel to it. Quite a bit of foot traffic, but not much of a view. The table they sat us at was pretty small. It had a bucket in the middle with napkins, utensils, and salt/pepper. There was no way 4 drinks, 4 large plates and everything else would fit on that small table. We had to ask for an extra chair to put the bucket and a few other things on. We ordered the Tequilla shrimp appetizer that was awesome. They also brought out chips with three different kinds of salsa that were also pretty good. I had the Tres Amigos Tacos, which were three tacos...one carne asada, one shrimp, and one lobster. Those were all very good as well. My g/f had the lobster fajitas tacos, She said her's were very tasty and she liked them. We got there early enough to beat the lunch crowd, so they were not busy. Our food came out pretty quickly and was all very hot and fresh. It may be weird, but one of the ways I generally rate service is by my drink glass. Today I had water, and I had to ask several times for a refill. I like the waiter/waitress that sees a half full glass and either refills it, or at least asks if you'd like a refill. Overall, this was a very nice lunch experience. I'd go back, but I'd like to try the Old Town San Diego location next time."

"Oh boy, where do I even begin with the gastronomic wonder that is bb.q chicken? I'm telling you this restaurant in Old Tappan is an absolute revelation! It's like stumbling upon a hidden treasure chest, but instead of gold and jewels, it's brimming with succulent, mouth watering chicken that's simply to die for. First off, the lady who takes your order is an absolute sweetheart and always makes me and my friends feel at home. Seriously, she's as sweet as the honey glaze on their honey garlic chicken. Now, let's talk about the star of the show the boneless chicken. Oh, those 8 boneless pieces... It's a thing of beauty! The boneless chicken is a marvel incredibly tender, juicy, and bursting with flavors that will make your taste buds do a happy dance. It's like a symphony of taste in your mouth, with each bite more harmonious than the last. And the drumsticks? Oh my goodness, they're a whole other level of delicious. Perfectly crispy on the outside, and unbelievably moist and flavorful on the inside. It's like biting into a little piece of heaven. It's the kind of chicken that makes you close your eyes and savor every single bite. But the real showstopper here, the pièce de résistance, is undoubtedly the secret sauce. This sauce, my friends, is the stuff of legends. It's a tantalizing blend of sweet, spicy, tangy, and savory that takes the chicken from amazing to mind blowingly extraordinary. It's like a flavor bomb that explodes in your mouth, leaving a trail of deliciousness that lingers long after the last bite. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best chicken sauce I've ever had. It's like a magical potion that transforms ordinary chicken into a gourmet feast. It's a culinary masterpiece, a triumph of flavors that is simply unmatched. BB.Q chicken is a must visit for anyone with a mouth, period. It's a place where magic happens, where ordinary chicken is transformed into something truly extraordinary. So do yourself a favor and go there. You won't regret it, I promise."

"My favorite wings on the ave. Probably top two within Seattle and top three in Washington. No more alcohol due to some incident two years ago, but they're working on getting their license back. Staff here is often lively, friendly, and chatty. Much of the time they're students as well so it's interactive. Dropping this rating a bit because there is inconsistency in the wing sizes. I'm spoiled when I get the large wings and drumsticks that look like a chicken was on steroids. Sometimes I get disappointed when I get flats that are so small all the meat is eaten in one bite. Also, my most recent visit I had something in my corn cheese (shown). Couldn't quite tell if it was a bone or what but it was hard and yellow. Kind of suspicious but I'll let it slide. The corn cheese here is one of my favorites around town. I haven't found one that impresses me as much but I'm still trying. I order a corn cheese everytime I visit and it's perfect, cheesey goodness. They butter it perfectly and the ratio is the best across the state. House fried rice is pretty standard as much as fried rice goes, but I have some friends who love it so we order it often. It's nice to pair with the chicken, but definitely not necessary as the chicken itself is just fantastic. Snow Wings are addicting. The garlic parmesan is a must have and simply delicious with or without the chicken. I'll even get some of the little sprinkles or crumbs to eat. I'm a big fan of dry rubs though so that's part of it. Soy Garlic Wings are a great choice for more wet wings. They're a bit sweet and also fairly addicting. Those two are my favorite wings for dry and wet respectively. I don't care too much for the spicy but they now have Korean Hot Sauce available at tables. It's the same sauce they use in their Korean Wings so you can just add it to whatever wings you get and get a similar experience."

"On my most recent visit, I ordered beef again, but a staff member (not the owner) mentioned that I must have been spending the most money since I started coming there. Confused, I asked for clarification. Regardless of whether I ordered pork belly or beef, I always grilled my meat and ordered alcohol to make the experience more enjoyable. I considered myself a regular and consistently tipped over 20%. However, during my last visit, they claimed there were no available seats, despite there being empty ones. A male staff member told us we would need to wait for 15 minutes, but when I indicated that I was already aware, a female staff member, who seemed unsure if she even recognized me, rudely suggested that I was just there for the pork belly. This made me feel very uncomfortable. I definitely ordered beef on my last visit, and while I understand the affection for pork belly, it was disappointing to be reduced to that label, especially after two years of patronage. It felt disrespectful to be called "pork belly" when I have a name of my own. I was upset by this experience, especially given my long-standing relationship with the restaurant. I had previously given them a five-star review a year ago, as it was a place I enjoyed visiting alone. However, after this incident, I will not be returning. If you do visit, I advise against ordering pork belly; you may find yourself facing unfair treatment."
