"This is my favorite Mexican restaurant! The servers are fantastic—they always keep a smile on their faces. The food is delicious, with generous portions offered at very reasonable prices. We've been here more times than I can count, and we've never had a bad experience. My partner can be quite particular, so it’s a huge plus that if he says the food is great, you can trust it. The homemade salsa and chips that come to your table are excellently prepared, and the salsa has a mild flavor. They also serve alcoholic drinks along with a selection of bottled beverages, including Pepsi products. The atmosphere is wonderful and family-friendly, and occasionally, a Mariachi band performs, adding to the lively ambiance."

"This is twice in a row we had bad service on a non busy time. It was hard to get drink refills, 3 tables that came in after us got their food order before ours, took 40 mins to take our orders, and then right before we got our food which took more than an hour, our waiter said he was leaving and someone else was looking after our table for him. No one was looking after our table. We sat there trying to get boxes and our checks for so long. We were there to celebrate 2 birthdays and didn’t even ask for the birthday song. Don’t think we will be back again. The location in Chatham is much better."

"Many people on Yelp quest for authentic Mexican; it means something different to everyone. I am looking for one of two varieties: The Legendary-Southwest-US-Mexican and/or the guisado plates and fresh corn tortillas you can find at every home-kitchen-restaurant in Mexico. I don 't think La Fogata had either. The horchata was good, plentiful and not too sweet, but my chile relleno was actually a salty pile of ground meat. The enchilada was similarly bland and encased in a stiff tortilla. Finally, I know nobody goes crazy over the rice and refried beans, but my $8 combo plate didn 't include either! I left feeling full, but also disappointed. No thanks, La Fogata, I 'm going to continue questing."

"do not go into this restaurant, especially if they have food allergies. I have placed an order of nachos with only grilled chicken and cheese and 3 enchiladas with only grilled chicken and cheese. Once I got the food, I noticed that the afteros shrunked chicken, paprika and swirling on it. I told them that eating was wrong, and I told her once again only grilled chicken and cheese and that my husband could not eat paprika or wobble because of an allergy. she tried to tell me that grilled chicken was and I told her it wasn't and she took it back and they did it right. I asked if the enchiladas were correct. she assured me they were. after visiting our hotel room ate my man the nachos and two bites of an enchilada before he realized that they had paprika and swirling in it. I called the restaurant and told them what happened and how he is now ill and had to take allergy medication. the manager told me he had to go to the hospital and if he had a doctor's letter, then we can talk more about it. I told him this is a serious matter and how we paid for eating what was wrong and now my husband is sick. he told me I wasn't about my men health. I then told him how ridiculous it was and how he had to be checked for her mistake. I told him I'd call a company and make a review. he laughed and said they were not corporate and hanged on me. this place clearly does not care about its customers and seriously lacks customer service skills. I will publish my review of this site to any social media platform and hope that they will see a decline in the business. you shouldn't be open."

"The food was great and the staff was very polite and helpful. They did need a couple more people. It was busy when we got there. Which is understandable for them taking a little bit to seat us. However, they still took a while to seat other customers, when they weren't so busy. Other then that, it was a good time."

"Friend had specifically said not to add certain things on what was supposed to be her beef burritos then ended up giving her a steak burrito with everything she hadn’t asked for. Also was food took a very long time to get and although all we got were things off of the kids menu the food was charged for more than what was on the menu. Server was sort of rude as well. "This place has gone downhill. Chips seemed like they came out of a bag. Salsa good. Ordered taco salad w shrimp. Plenty of shrimp but veggies made it too soggy and uneatible. Left most of it. I mentioned it waitress, nothing done. Margarita was like an icee no alcohol. Husband said his food average. I should have asked for money back. Skip this place. Too many alternatives"
