"I realized I hadn't visited this restaurant since the new owners took over. First off, I want to mention that the owner generously comped our meals, which I neither asked for nor expected. However, I used to go to Vincent's specifically for the meat sauce with my spaghetti. This time, though, the sauce tasted like a jar of Ragu, with what appeared to be some chopped meatballs thrown in. When the waitress relayed my disappointment to the owner, I explained that this was not the meat sauce I remembered from my previous visits. The owner insisted it was the same because they are using the previous owners' recipes. I had to disagree, as I knew the sauce we used to have was unique—similar to the famous Jim's Spaghetti from another state, which this clearly wasn’t. Although my meal was comped (I ended up taking just one bite and then enjoyed the excellent garlic rolls instead), I am now on the lookout for an Italian restaurant that serves proper meat sauce, rather than a runny tomato sauce with chopped meatballs. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. That said, I appreciate the owner's efforts to make things right under the circumstances."
