"I wanted to reflect on this one a little bit before I reviewed. At first I thought the atmosphere was down home and comfortable but really it's a little uncomfortable with tables too close together and loud. From outside it looks like you're going to walk into an Applebee's type place and then boom it's like you wandered into a church basement and you don't know anyone. Everyone on staff was very nice! They ask if you've been there before and if not they bring you a sample board of some of their items-gumbo, jambalaya, lobster bisque, red beans and rice. I ordered red beans and rice and my husband got spicy sausage gumbo. We shared an appetizer of fried fish bites (catfish) which were excellent. Honestly my biggest complaint was that the food was not spicy enough, but they do include Cajun salt and hot sauce on the table, which I used liberally. Service was very fast and very polite. I recommend for the food, but not crazy about the atmosphere."
