"Once our friends arrived, we ordered drinks. My girlfriend opted for a strawberry frozen margarita, while I tried the matrimonio, a delightful mix of lime and strawberry margarita. The drinks were quite strong but delicious, giving a nice buzz after just a few sips, which I appreciated. My girlfriend had to take it easy, as many places tend to skimp on the alcohol, but not here—you definitely feel the effects, and it’s worth the money. This place reminds me of one of my favorite spots that sadly closed down.
After our friends ordered their drinks, we went for appetizers. The queso was outstanding—flavorful with a wonderful texture—and we all loved it. We also ordered plantains, which were crunchy on the outside and soft inside, and they were equally delicious.
Then came the main course, and we were eager to dive in. One of our friends is vegetarian, but this restaurant has plenty of options. He chose a black bean enchilada with rice. My girlfriend enjoyed a chicken quesadilla, which was packed with flavor, while I had a combo brochette of steak, jalapeño peppers, and three bacon-wrapped shrimp that were absolutely scrumptious! Our other friend had tacos al carbon.
To cap off the evening, we browsed the dessert menu, which featured some great choices. One person ordered flan and tres leches, while my girlfriend and I shared her tres leches and my cheesecake chimichanga with ice cream, both of which were delicious.
Brandon provided prompt service, and our dishes arrived quicker than expected. The staff operated efficiently, and I love hearing the sizzle of hot, fresh food when it arrives! This was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last. I give this place a solid 5 out of 5; everything was perfect, and everyone had a great time. We’ll definitely keep this venue in mind for future outings. They even had staff members circulating to clear tables proactively, which is appreciated since space can get tight with multiple dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed, suitable for both adults and kids, and we noticed many families dining there. Parking was ample, with street options available as well as a free lot right across the street that had plenty of spaces."
