"Unfortunately, the new owners are not preparing the chicken correctly. I have dined at Olive bb.q locations all across the USA and in Korea, and the chicken served at these two Queens locations does not meet the same standards. The chicken is soggy, sticky, and smothered in wet sauce, whereas other locations have crispy, flavorful chicken with sauce that appears to be baked on after frying.
The chicken at the Flushing and Astoria locations owned by these franchisees resembles soggy fried chicken drenched in ketchup or barbecue sauce, rather than the crispy and sweet chicken found at other Olive bb.q locations. It is a disappointing experience for those familiar with the brand's offerings.
I suggest visiting the Manhattan K Town location, where the chicken is prepared correctly and is objectively better than the chicken served at the Queens locations."
