"This restaurant is perched atop the third floor of the Nordstrom store in Yorkdale. I found the decor very nice and the environment quiet and relaxing. The food was also quite good (I had an Atlantic salmon sandwich with tomato, caramelized onions and avocado, served with a side of delicious frites), but unfortunately, the disappointing service took the experience down a few notches. Our server was very abrupt throughout our meal and didn't seem to know the first thing about good customer service, interrupting us to take our orders and taking drinks away without even asking -- and before we were even finished. Towards the end of our meal, he did bring us a delicious piece of chocolate-caramel cake to share (we were celebrating a birthday), which was very much appreciated, but it was too little, too late. After we had paid, he came by and took away our half-finished water glasses, in a clear effort to move us towards the door. It was just after 9:30 p.m., and the store closed at 9 -- apparently, this meant the restaurant had to close too (unlike other in-store restaurants, like Beaumont Kitchen at Saks in Sherway Gardens). There are plenty of other options at Yorkdale, and despite the good food and nice environment at Bazille, the poor service would discourage me from hurrying back here."
